View Full Version : Ian Brady could be close to death

Moors Murderer Ian Brady says he does not have long to live as he still refuses to show any remorse for his crimes.

The child killer, now 77, says he is “still bedridden and worsening” after breaking his hip and arm in a fall at the psychiatric hospital where he is being held.

In a letter, Brady said he wished he had died “decades ago” as he continues to be force-fed against his will at Ashworth Hospital in Merseyside.

He insists he is not *insane and should be transferred to jail, where he could starve himself to death.

His last appeal was rejected by a tribunal in June 2013.

In a letter to a Channel 5 news correspondent he says: “This cell block is described as a ‘discharge ward’; I’ve been sitting here 30 years... and there’s no turnaround of inmates unless in a coffin.

“So it’s more accurately a blocked sewer-pipe!”

He added: “Had I divined the future of spending half a century in prison, and the final 15 years being force-fed by nasal tube in an unmonitored zoological cesspit of regression, I would’ve exited decades ago.”

Brady and his lover Myra Hindley, who died in prison in 2002, were caged in 1966 for murdering five youngsters aged 10 to 17 and burying their bodies on moors near Manchester.

In September last year, Alan Bennett, the brother of one of Brady’s victims, 12 year-old Keith Bennett, made a desperate appeal for him to reveal where his sibling was buried as his body has not been found.

it is sickening that he hasn't told the police where the Bodies are or give them any sort of indiciation and he'll die with that secret cutting any form of leads remaining, what a terrible world

I don't think he even knows. He's been up there a few times and said everything looks totally different. But he also used to change his mind about if he did know or not too. He's a sick bastard that's for sure.

'Rotting in prison' is a fallacy. Incarceration merely restricts movement of the physical body, it does not paralyse it, nor imprison the mind.

Some of our great literary works were written whilst their authors were imprisoned; Jean Genet and Oscar Wilde spring to mind.

Brady - and other demons like him - has walked in the fresh air. He has been able to look up at cloud formations in the blue sky, and at the moon and stars in the night sky. He has been able to think, hold conversations, read and listen to music. He has been free to even enjoy sexual pleasure through masturbation.

He has lived. Unlike his innocent victims whose lives he so mercilessly cut short.

And to date, Brady has cost the taxpayer in the region of £5 million pounds in total.

Children have died in the backs of ambulances for want of a dialysis machine at a cost of around £30,000. Old people who have worked hard all their lives have died in their freezing homes through hypothermia for want of the few hundred pounds it would have taken in fuel costs to keep them warm.

And still this evil bastard refuses to express remorse for his atrocities, and has not divulged just where poor little Keith's remains are so that they can be retrieved from those moors and be properly buried.

Decades ago, I could have saved the state millions of pounds and got Brady to reveal just where little Keith is buried, all for the cost of allowing me into his cell for a night with my tool bag.

I hope this evil piece of slime continues to suffer for another decade or more, few people have committed crimes of such depravity, his place in hell is assured however I would like him to be kept alive as long as possible so his so called suffering can be continued as long as possible.

Me too. Keep him alive at all costs. We can't let him go without suffering more. There isn't enough suffering to compensate for what him and his bitch did.

Brady's case can be justification for not bringing back Capital Punishment and allowing child murderers and suchlike to suffer 'imprisonment for life', but I'm afraid the same cannot be said for his partner Hindley.

She spent a very, very, privileged life behind bars thanks to highly placed lesbian prisoners and even more highly positioned lesbian prison officers. No 'special protection' was needed for Myra, as is usually the case with abhorrent child murderers, instead she had the 'run of the place'. No being shunned or vilified by the rest of the prison population on account of her evil crimes either, because she was afforded VIP status. Any 'punishment element' in her sentence was never realised because she had the best of everything - food, drink, clothes, even unlimited depraved sex. Even the rehabilitation aspect of her imprisonment was a complete nonsense, despite her pleas to be released early because she was: 'changed'.

No, I'm afraid, in most cases, these scum bastards are not being 'punished' by having to spend a lifetime behind bars, because often, the 'quality' of their lives in prison is far better than the lives of a huge number of 'free' poor people on the outside, and is certainly better than the lives of their victims - which is no life at all.

Yep. He's been wanting to die for years and being alive seems to annoy him greatly. Keep him suffering for as long as possible. Luckily he'll never go to prison so they'll have to keep force feeding him.

I see no sense in forcing him to stay alive.

It costs money to keep him alive, so just let him die.

There exists no punishment evil enough for him so let him die.

Plus, I'll get points in the DeathList.

Maybe the whole liberal rehabilitation ideaology has had its day, maybe it's time we moved forward by turning backwards.

One has to admit that since the liberalisation of our Juidicial system which started in the 60's we have become a nation of apologists.

Our Prisons are full to bursting, we have reduced Life sentences for the most serious crimes imaginable to 15yrs, 20 yrs, sometimes 25 yrs. We seem to think everyone who commits a crime is a victim of their upbringing or their circumstances and that their crimes can be washed clean with the briefest of prison terms.

We even let maximum security prisoners out on bail with electronic tags long before their sentences have been completed. And we don't even imprison some offenders for crimes like assault and burglary.

Before we can even contemplate giving someone a whole life tariff we have to have a flipping parliamentary debate and now thanks to the EU we are not even allowed to impose that particular sentence.

As a Society we are fearful of imposing punishment at all levels from smacking our children , corporal punishment at schools and handing down long prison sentences for the most serious of crimes.

We abolished the death penalty because as a civilised Society we should not have to kill someone to punish them for the gravest of crimes. When we see pieces of slime like Brady and Hyndley given comfortable cells and 3 meals a day and TV, radio, etc.. it makes me want to puke..

They should of been "encouraged" to reveal where they buried those innocent children and I mean "encouraged" in the loosest possible meaning. After that they then should have been strung up, good riddance to evil vermin.

and this is where I started from in this post... should we actually not now be far more severe in ALL our sentencing with much longer prison terms (Build more Prisons if we have to) to punish and deter others from committing crime.

Murderers,Paedophile rapists,Cop killers and Terrorists should surely be put out of their misery or locked up for life (and I mean Life, with no hope of parole)

We have lost our way in all of this and have become soft as nation allowing evil to prosper in all it's forms, we have allowed our Juidicial system to turn into a pantomime instead of dispensing proper justice that respects the rights of the victims.

A major rethink is long overdue in my opinion.

I don't think we'll ever become a nation that's after blood again. What would killing them achieve apart from quenching the nations thirst for brutal vengeance? I agree prison sentences should be much tougher though.

I hope he doesn't die, doesn't sound like he's had enough suffering yet, few more years where it worsens would be nice, maybe if it gets so bad, we could strike a deal with him, locations of the bodies and he'll be euthanized. Then once the bodies are found lock him in solitary until he starves to death.
