So far it's been correct everytime for me. :conf:

I'm trying to work out how it does it, there's obviously a mathematical pattern involved somewhere, but I haven't quite sussed it.

I've worked out how its done (its to do with multiples of 9 :thumbs:)

I'd just worked it out as well.

for example, any number you pick in the twenties, then answer is always 18,

any number you pick in the 30's the answer is always 27, and so on.

Still good though and very clever :thumbs:

The mathematical calculation given will always give a multiple of 9. It changes the symbol for this multiple every time you play. so it appears to be giving the symbol you have calculated, but they seem to be different symbols each time.

The guy is charging to give people the solution, I wonder how many have coughed up

It will always show the (selected sysmbol)

Any 2-digit number can be characterized as 10t+u, where t is the 10's digit,
resp. u the units.

The instructions are to compute 10t+u - (t+u)
Which is 9t + t + u - (t+u)
Which is 9t +t+u-t-u
Which is 9t

So your final number will certainly be one of 0, 9, 18, 27, ... 81

Peruse the chart: you will see that all of these have the (selected sysmbol) associated.
