[Bashir, 62, was UKIP’s spokesman on small businesses.
He moved to Bradford aged eight
and spent 15 years as a member of the Conservative Party
before switching to UKIP two years ago in protest at
Cameron’s ‘modernising agenda’]

Now Look Fella
make your mind up.

I have a little niggle that David Cameron may regret the publicity over this defection, time will tell.
A possible further example of bad judgement.

so much for ukip being 'a dedicated party for the working people' then? it's full of ex-tories anyway..

Moments before his announcement that he's defected to the Tories, UKIP announce that Bashir is being investigated for irregularities in his expenses and other issues. Nice publicity deflection by UKIP there (that's admiration for their press staff, not the party per se). I think the Tories have taken on a bit of a leaking ship.

UKIP is about as far right as you can get. They gain votes from the working class disgruntled north because of their stance on immigration. Their propaganda spin is incredible!

ED for spelling!

They clearly want to try to appear good, that's why they announced that.. hopefully people will see through the lies.

This was a set up from the start to grab some..........."UKIP member defect to the Tories" publicity.

Was going to happen at some point as the major parties will try everything to discredit UKIP.

But it won't work........good riddance to this chap, he left before he was sacked in any case.
