Just thought i'd share my great achievements with you all!

I've basically made a pac with my friends and more with myself, to attend as many gigs as possible next year. Now i have so far capture these bad boys:

Bloc Party - 10th Feb (Academy, Brum)
The Holloways - 18th Feb (Academy, Brum)
The Killers - 18th Feb (NEC, Brum)
Keane - 23rd Feb (NEC, Brum)
The Fratellis - 27th Feb (Academy Brum)
Pigeon Detectives - 8th March (Academy Brum)
Razorlight - 6th April (NEC Brum)

Now i have a dilema, Killers and Holloways are on at the same time and day... and i love them both sooo much, although i have seen Killers before.

Next years going to be sooo cool, i'm even thinking of going to a few festivals (V being one of them)

Anyone else got some gigs going up?

:dance2:

I've seen Bloc Party before, they're AMAZING live, and I met them afterwards and they offered me free tickets. They're nice guys!

I have no gigs coming up as of yet, but I will get some sorted out after xmas, haha. Just recently been to see: Metric, The Infadels and Muse :spin2:

Tanser, go see The Holloways - I've heard they're immense live. The Killers are good, granted - but I can imagine the atmosphere at The Holloways being good stuff. :hello:

Arghhhh you are so auspicious... when ever a gig comes to Newcastle I’m always the ultimate last one to find out. but it’s my intention this coming year to go to at least one gig

I've been listening to The Holloways virtually none stop for a month or so... i guess i'll see them instead and sell my Killers tickets as and when they get sent out.

Loving the song 'F^ck Ups' by Holls and Great Britain... very catchy stuff.

Thats what i mean, i was brought Killer's tickets by a mate and then yesterday i ordered my Holloways tickets without thinking... and obvious can't cancel the orders now so?! I'm stuck with them for now. I think Killers starts like 30 minutes after Holloways so i could always run there...

I'd prefer to see The Killers as the new album is just immense.

When I pass my driving test I'll start going to more gigs rather than the local acts :cheer:

I've seen Kasabian live, at a festival thing - they're very good. Any chance you get to see them live, do it

I only met Bloc Party because I ended up waiting with a bunch of drunks around the back of the university, outside their tour bus. So they HAD to see us, to get into the bus. They were very friendly though.

I dunno, i think there new album is a bit of a letdown, i only like 3/4 songs on the album which is unusual for me.

I was just saying to my mate, i can't wait to finally get a car and not have to worry about travelling... just print off some directions and do it!

I kinda met Fratellis in November after there gig... the person i was with kinda scared him off though saying he was 'that lead singer in fratellis'... haha

That was a good 3 days actually, Fratellis and We Are Scientists... both sell outs and both were crazy!

But yeah Kasabian are a must, they seem not perfect on tv!

It seems the new album divides opinion, I love most of the songs but also always skip a couple but overall I prefer it to Hot Fuss.

I cannot wait to have the freedom of my own car, can go to all the footie games and gigs I want :hello:

Amazing pic Tanser. I had a pic of Kele from Bloc Party on my phone when he was speaking to me. But it was a very old phone and I can't bluetooth or put it on my comp

My friend went to see We Are Scientists, she said they had a good stage presence.

I've been to loads, I think I've listed the main ones on another thread somewhere, at least I'm sure I did. Plus a load of little ones near me, lol.

You're lucky because you actually live in Birmingham, since I live in Crewe I have to travel to either Manchester or Birmingham normally, and occasionally London for gigs!

Out of the ones you've listed, I'm actually going to see the Killers as well with three of my friends (in February as well, before I go abroad in the half term!) So that'll be busy.

We Are Scientists are the stage presence kings, everything about them is great.... oh and The Great Escape is absolutley amazing live...

Fratellis on the other hand have no stage presence at all and they end up saying something totally irrelevant like, they started going in the middle of a set "Arr It's fookin cold outside our willy" In that fab scottish accent they have! But there music overrides that blip i think.

I have video clips on myspace of them gigs, the volume of the gig K.O'ed my camera but you can see whats happening!

I'm well chuffed about most gigs being in Brum, NEC's about the same distance away from me then the Carling Academy.. so its all good!

There are some Northern gigs i have had to travel for though, don't know if you know 'The Paddingtons' but my mate is friends with them and got me tickets to see them in there hometown of Hull. So that was a good 3hr commute!
