Ant and Dec are to team up with Simon Cowell for a new Saturday night talent show, a report has claimed.

The reality mogul is said to be lining up the pair to present the UK version of his US show America’s Got Talent.

If he is successful the trio would be reunited on Britain’s Got Talent in the same roles they played on Pop Idol, as presenting team and judge.

“Ant and Dec loved working with Simon on Pop Idol and are really excited by Britain’s Got Talent," a source told The Sun. “We expect them to sign up next month so we can start the ball rolling.”

The show, being co-produced by Cowell’s company Syco, will see people with talents from singing to fire-eating compete for the praise of judges Cowell, journalist Piers Morgan and ex-Baywatch actor David Hasselhoff.

It is due to be screened, according to the paper, on ITV from April or May.
