I can imagine it's much worse for someone who is nice and tried to get on with everyone but still gets nominated like Keith.

And actually the real Perez is quite sensitive and couldn't handle being rejected for who he really is so he tries to make other housemates hate him so that if they nominate him, he can say "ah well it's because I was annoying them on purpose".

He doesn't really strike me as bad on the inside.

I think the person he is in the house complete flamboyant character is part of who he is. We also see moments where he gets upset. (shows he has a heart) As a CBB contestant is superb :D He knows to keep things entertaining..he knows how to tease...

Course he is an attention seeker he loves the limelight..

The thing about being 'nice' is people often see that as a weakness (take Keith's position in the house for instance) in the outside world being 'nice' is wonderful and a truly great trait to have but in a BB situation it's all hands on deck let's have drama - let's fight!

I like 'nice' but I also like 'say it like it is IF IT'S DESERVED' also. I don't like hate just because something thinks it's ok to say. Just because people think it doesn't mean the words should ever see the light of day :D

I am quite sure there are many sides to Perez that we won't see incase he shows (what some may say is 'weakness'..

His complete life and being from as long as he was able to get behind a computer keyboard is one of rejection and failed friendship. He has invented this hate figure and its the only way he knows how to be. He has very few friends, if any and people like that don't take well to love or affection. He is one dimensional, for sure, but that dimension is pure vile and disturbing acts that he openly admits, he loves.

He does not need friends, he needs medication.
