my poem on crumpets inspired by this tread 15.02.15
they come in many variety's
some make a different sound
i am part of many crumpet society's
all are run ragged and to the ground.
smell is very vital
so is how it is kept
now i don't want to be spiteful
some lady's will leave here having wept.
they can be tidy and neat
even hairy
some are sour and some sweet
some are just plain scary.
do i like it with butter
or any other juices
many i have found in the gutter
good times i have had with moose's.
decoration is pain
i have had rings
of-course there is more gain
but worth it is not the after stings.
i do like the softer sort
as long as it is well prepared
when it gets a 10 report
you no this crumpet is loved and cared.
i have to end as i don't want a smack
that's my view on crumpet sorry for my poem hijack.

Same here - because they used to be toasted over an open fire on the end of pikes.
I love them hot and soaked in butter.

No. I don't dislike many foods but crumpets are disgusting the texture of them is horrible like eating a sponge
