Early reports from ITN say that a incredible 20 Million people watched the final last night.

If true, then that's double last years ratings.


I do think that it is very unlikely that this is true - I mean 8 Million votes were cast so i would say about 10-11 Million viewers.

I wouldn't say the amount of votes mattered because a lot of people dont vote anyway, so it still could have been 20mill

No way is that right - about 10 million watched last year's final.

It's like Kate Thornton saying 8 million people voted when, in fact, there were a lot of multiple votes.

Just the ITV hype-machine.

I've just read in a news article that a confirmed 12.6 Mill watched the show... I'll try and dig it back out for a source...

Yep, you got it!

Money makes the world go round.

Simon, and all of the judges, I might add, would do anything, or befriend anybody if there was money in it for them.

For example, Simon's Britain's Talent show... if the British public fall in love with a man with 4.5 tongues that can spit fire whilst singing 'Rule Britannia', Simon'd be the "most proudest person" of them aswell!

... Which is awful grammar, I must add, lool! :spin:
