Power Rangers actor Ricardo Medina has been arrested on suspicion of murder after allegedly stabbing his flatmate with a sword.
Medina, 36, was arrested following the incident at his home in Palmdale, Los Angeles County on Saturday afternoon (January 31), the LA Times reports. He is alleged to have dealt his flatmate Joshua Sutter a single fatal blow to the stomach.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff Department said in a statement: "The victim and the suspect became involved in an argument, which turned into a physical altercation. Suspect Medina retreated to his bedroom with his girlfriend but victim Sutter followed them and forced the door open. Suspect Medina stabbed victim Sutter once in the abdomen with a sword kept next to the bedroom door."
Medina played the the Red Wild Force Ranger on ABC Kids' 2002 series Power Rangers Wild Force. He also had a voice role in the more recent series Power Rangers Samurai and Power Rangers Super Samurai, which aired in 2011 and 2012.
The actor is due to appear in court tomorrow (February 2) and his bail has been set at $1 million (£660,000).
