I think he is right,at the time he was more about insisting to leave and not appearing to change his mind, then suddenly out of nowhere came the secret room and the other advantages he had there.
BB just put hm in there, there was no votes from hms or the public at all.

I think that is when he is talking about and I recall there was even suggestions on here that BB had put him in that room to stop him leaving.

they begged him to stay,they built the spare room last minute after the producers published those fake tweets about perez over nadia....perez was 100% spot on about the highest ever viewing figures....how would he have known that then eh? they askedhim to stay
