But if it's only 1 vote, thats 1 vote out of like 10 acts. And not many votes would be casted. So like, one could get 5 and the rest could just 1 or 0. and 3/4 people could who 0 making it harder for the bottom two acts.

Also, the final showdown could be a problem unless each contestant records two versions, but that just seems stupid if you ask me. Then again, there could be a separate song that each contestant has to record which will be used in the showdown for the two with the lowest votes.

No, it doesn't I don't think, as long as you send the version of your song to your mentor beforehand. All the show's going to comprise of I think is playing those songs and people voting.

Then you'll be back in time for the result.

About 2 mins of the song is the max and you can have the song on in the background or the backing track if you can find it.

I've recorded the whole 2 minutes once...I did it a few days ago and sent it to Jay recently. So now if I want to change it etc. I've got a few days left to sort things, but at least Jay already has a version of it.

Nothing. I'll probably re-post the songs, and the judges will make a decision on which had the best performance, the one who they choose will return to next weeks sing off.

Also, don't you think it would be better to let each member have 2/3 votes? That way more votes will be cast so therefore there is less chance of a more than 2-way tie for the least? More chance of getting your bottom 2 easier maybe... ?

That's a good idea. Maybe each member should vote for their top 3, for example:

1. +3 points
2. +2 points
3. +1 point

or something along those lines to reduce the risk of a tie.

You shouldn't need to install a microphone, unless it is part of a webcam or the like. You should be able to just plug it in and use it if it is just a normal microphone.

It shouldn't really be something that different, you get most of our TV shows in the UK, delayed but you still view them nonetheless. So you should be somewhat familar with American accents. I guess it could still be intriguing... I don't know...

Yeah, save it as an mp3 .. it's smaller, then put it on a floppy or a CD, then bring it onto ur mum's pc.

Don't apologize. No one is mad at you, its just if you can't get your song in obviously you can't participate. But with that said you still can get it in by the morning. If you know the brand/model number of your webcam you may be able to find the software online and download that. I'm sorry I missed you earlier, I would have tried to help, but maybe you will be around in the morning. If you read this message before then, try going to this site: http://www.soft32.com/s/Windows/Drivers/Digital_Camera_and_Webcam/3-375-0-0.html and search for your webcam. Hopefully you can find the software there.
