View Full Version : Delilah song banned from Wales
the truth

Feminist lobby groups have succeeded in having the famous tom jones hit banned from welsh rugby matches..........in last Friday nights clash the welsh choir were banned from singing it because it allegedly promotes violence against women
do we agree with this? should this song and all others with dodgy lyrics be banned forever? what of nursery rhymes, jack and jill where jack broke his crown, rock a bye baby where the baby falls or humpty dumpty who fell to pieces....take the legendary bohemian rhapsody...mama just killed a man....should the male groups get that banned? or are the male groups less funded than the feminist ones so we get to hear less about the anti male lyrics?
cant help but think the massive amount of tax payers money that funds these feminist groups could be used or far far far more important issues

Couldn't give a toss about this either way, but for the record, about 50% of the workforce who pay taxes are women.

---runs to re-listen to Delilah
I saw the light on the night that I passed by her window
I saw the flickering shadows of love on her blind
She was my woman
As she deceived me I watched and went out of my mind
My my my Delilah
Why why why Delilah
I could see, that girl was no good for me
But I was lost like a slave that no man could free
At break of day when that man drove away I was waiting
I crossed the street to her house and she opened the door
She stood there laughing
I felt the knife in my hand and she laughed no more
My my my Delilah
Why why why Delilah
So before they come to break down the door
Forgive me Delilah I just couldn't take any more
She stood there laughing
I felt the knife in my hand and she laughed no more
My my my Delilah
Why why why Delilah
So before they come to break down the door
Forgive me Delilah I just couldn't take any more
Forgive me Delilah I just couldn't take any more
Oh

Yeah... It goes back to the era of songs that tell a story... it doesn't promote abuse against women in general

Exactly!
He didn't stab her to death for being a woman, he stabbed her to death for being a slut, there's a difference

welsh politicians pressurised the welsh rugby union to ban it, so they banned it and stopped the choirs from singing it as they had done at every welsh match for over 30 years....it was also banned from playing over the loudspeakers

I want to see data correlations of violence against women relating to hearing or singing Delilah... lets start by interviewing Tom Jones...

The song contains an ending that would be seen as a crime of passion.
This is getting really silly now, it is a song for goodness sake, that millions bought too, around the world.

Before long we will all need to get into a bath of Milton fluid before we go out into that dangerous world.
Strewth, are we to be sterilised and wrapped in cotton wool before we dare step out.
So much PC overdrive etc. out there.

I am fed up with feminists, they are just acting like spoilt brats, their ideology to emasculation of males, and feminised the boys and men of this world is sad, whats next, have to wear a mask over my face because my gender offends them, and maybe i should wear a sign with it saying, im a male which means sex predator, any guys on here who's with me who's with me,

There has been an explosion in domestic violence and following a loss in sports events is a trigger, maybe this is trying to break the connection in blaming the missus?
Mind you another part of me thinks just another example of social control, so I'm conflicted.
