Anybody else checking this out?

One Hour Red Carpet followed by a 3 1/2 hour show? Wow!
This thing has Oscar teas with every Actor to star on the show, and what looks like all the multitude of hosts from Sports Stars to Musicians to Actors...

An event for sure!

It was missing a Final Jeopardy gag. Alex Trebek is actually there so I'm disappointed he didn't show up as Will Ferrell

It makes me feel ashamed that as an American, I have no idea what SNL is. I ALWAYS see my friends on fb talking about it, but I've never seen it. Is it just a comedy show? Like a chat show? or a spoof show?

:umm2:

Well seeing as it has taken 4 1/2 hours to summarize
What SNL has been about for the last 40 years... I am not sure how to address this.

It's a live sketch comedy show that features a reg. cast of Comedians, a new guest host each week (from Actors, Comedians, Musicians, Sports icons, etc.), a feature musical guest that can range from top of the charts to indie. There is political satire, original characters, impersonations, digital videos, musical satire, etc. 22 movies have been made based on character skits from the show. Most of the regular cast have all gone on to be comedic icons.
It really is what has shaped comedy in the states on many levels.

So in summary... Your missing out :(
