EXCLUSIVE: CELEB BB SIGN FIRST MARRIEDS
By Grant Hodgson

CELEBRITY Big Brother bosses have signed up the show's first-ever married couple in a bid to create fireworks in the house.

Former footballer Jason Cundy and his wife Lizzie, an actress and model, will join other celebs for the kick-off on January 3.

Producers signed up the pair in an effort to cause tension in the house.

A show insider said: "Everyone on the show thinks it's a masterstroke.

"It will be fascinating to watch a married couple interact with the others.

"Lizzie is stunningly attractive and is bound to set pulses racing. There are bound to be fireworks if Jason gets jealous."

Ex-defender Jason, 36, played for Chelsea, while Lizzie has been in East- Enders and a Bond film.

Other celebs being lined up for the show, the longest ever at three-and-a-half weeks, include Jeffrey Archer, David Hasselhoff, two members of G4, topless model Jo Guest, and Hi-De-Hi's Su Pollard.

I have to say I've never heard of Jason or Lizzie Cundy.

Could be a good idea but would they be competeing as one contestant? If not then that kinda gives each of them an advantage.

Not heard of them either.
It sounds like a bit of a strange idea, I suppose we won't really know if it'll work until it happens. It does seem a bit desparate though, especially when it mentions the husband would get jealous if the wife sparks interest in the other male HMs, I mean, what's that about?!
And Aaron, good point about whether they'd be separate contestants or not. The whole thing does seem quite weird!

Never heard of them either but if she worked in EE then ive prople seen her face around.

If they were competing as serperate contestants they could do what they did in Australia this year. They had a mother and daughter in the house who were competeing as seperate contestants (e.g If one got nominated the other would not be nominated & If one got evicted the other stayed and was still eligable to wn), But - Only one of the Mother/Duaghter duo would nominatie each week, e.g One week the mother would nominatie, the next week the duaghter would nominatie.

I don't like the idea at all. I like couples getting together not going in there as a couple. It takes all the excitement away. I can never see it happening tbh married couples have ehh needs.

I remember him from his footballing days and he's now a radio presenter on talksport.

I'm not really in favour of the idea as it failed on I'm a celeb.

I really like the sound of a couple because they will have allies from the start so that would be great to see. Plus a shared experience would make them think more as a couple. I would like it even more so if they had to pretend they didnt know each other  That would be interesting to watch see how their body language works and if people guess something isn't quite right.

Isn't the idea a bit I'm A Celebrity-esque? (Vic Reeves and Nancy Sorrell were on it a couple of year back)...

It could add a bit of spice, but personally I'm not up for it.

Jason Cundy has hinted that this may well be true when questioned about it on Talksport.Personally i don't think its a good idea.

Did he?
Uhoh.
Mind you this could be one of the twists the producers might have up their sleeve.

Didn't they try this on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here? It is so very pointless.

I've never heard of them... but I don't think it's a great idea either. That's why I don't watch these fly-on-the-wall shows that invade into people's relationships.. some things aren't for TV.. ya know.. Just my opinion.

I think it depends on the person if they are great entertainment and a duo act like some couples are and totally buzz off each other then it would be good to watch but if they are dull and boring then it would be pointless.
