X FACTOR finalist Andrea Faustini has signed a big-bucks record deal.

The pug-loving Italian flies to LA next week to start work on his debut album, which will be released later this year with RCA.

I’m told the cuddly singer with the big pipes had caused a furious bidding war between various labels within the Sony group.

The album will consist of mainly original songs penned by some of the world’s best songwriters.

According to my sources, Andrea’s Italian friends and family will also be international release.

My music mole revealed: “Andrea signed a deal with RCA after weeks of discussions with various labels within Sony.

“Label bosses are confi dent he can be an international star with the right songs and are on the lookout for some of the world’s best writers to work with him.

“There may be one or two covers but the album will be predominantly original material.

“In fact, some songs have already been submitted for him which are big, epic power ballads.”

Original bookies’ favourite Andrea, who finished third on last year’s show, Ben Haenow and runner-up Fleur East into the studio. They both signed deals with Simon Cowell’s company Syco and have already started work on their debut albums.

Stereo Kicks, Lauren Platt, Jay James, Paul Akister and Only The Young are currently all hunting for recording contracts, with label bosses waiting to see how they stand up on the current X Factor tour.

My source added: “A lot of last year’s finalists will enter talks with major labels about a deal when the tour finishes.”

My money’s on teen pin-ups Stereo Kicks to be the next to sign.

RCA is a good label. They have some impressive artists on their books, including Sia. Luke Friend is also with this label. They look after their artists very well. :hugesmile:

Well that's an impressive artist to have on the books considering how huge she is so hopefully he can recreate at least some of that success.

Well Matt Cardle has got to a fourth Album which is unusual for a winner, so yes you do have a point about him on here as well.

He has,can't wait, plus he writes a lot of his own songs and will be touring again this year,so it can happen for them ,even if they are not in your face and shouting from the rooftops,,they can have very successful careers without Sycho.Good luck to Andrea

Andrea has nothing to worry about career-wise, his rare immense talent and even rarer genuine 'likeability' factor will ensure his success and longevity. All the best to him - it makes a refreshing change for someone to 'make it' through actual tangible talent.
