BenJamin Zephaniah - poet - mental health - me and my mental poem to raise awareness 23.02.15

on the BBC this morning
i did witness something that needs rental
inside the feelings were spawning
because one man who i respect opened a tin of worms that's mental.
i do have faith in Benjamins aim
but i fear the "tin" and the "contents"
for a long time we have been ruled by this "shame"
because the denial of "mental health" is so immense.
i loved his idea
but it is no way a reality
through all mental health associates it will spear
its more intense and brutal then a work out by "insainty".
there is a stigma
along with a 100% ignorance
now drug taking and mental health damage is no enigma
it will hopefully draw attention to smoking this skunk substance.
i do have a agenda
with Benjaman's communication i wish i was genetic
but my mental status drives all readers to a bender
that's a sad reality when i go poetic.

( this man was on the bbc this morning and Benjamin hit a cord with me. not the poetic cord but what he was saying about the problems in society and how we deal with people who have a illness of "mental health" and to cut a long story short - i think it is disgraceful and this is my attempt to get things to change. i have tried hard to get this to Benjamin and a few mental health charity's and i will keep my fingers crossed to things changing. if you want to find a bit more about this great man you can here -http://benjaminzephaniah.com/ or if you are going through hard times and need someone to talk to you can try here - http://www.samaritans.org/ )

There seems to be a lot of emphasis on the use of skunk as a contributory factor in mental health issues lately.
Great poem and well done to this guy for raising awareness.
