rather than just put the bag in the mug and squeeze?
never really seen the point of a teapot as it just makes your tea cold and gives you extra washing?
and how long do you leave the bag in? - i know there will be some girl on here who drinks effectively hot water and milk that has had a teabag dipped in for like 10 seconds :nono:
Tea is best drunk precisely 6 minutes after it is made according to scientists

I use a teapot when I'm making tea for a few people but if it's just 1 or 2 cups I don't. I like strongish tea

I use a teapot.. and a teacosy.
I drink it black, and prefer organic clipper tea or green, 1 bag for 1 cup is a waste.
I use a teapot when we have guests

We use a teapot everyday at least once a day... And we use loose tea. Sometimes we use tea bags... Sometimes we just make a cuppa... But when I make tea in a pot I usually barely get one cup anyways because my family are tea vultures

Oh yes, a tea cosy is a must :) Also have an iron type teapot stand so as not to ruin the sideboard or table.

I have loads of teapots. For a treat I buy a really good Indian or green tea, make a pot and set out a tray with a bone china cup and saucer, matching plate with some Scottish shortbread and sit and sip and contemplate life. That's my way of unwinding.

Same here. I like strongish tea with just a splodge of milk and luckily my wife and kids like it that way too. My best friend on the other hand has it like LT says with the tea bag dipped in for a second and very milky Ugh! I use the same tea bag now for his cuppa that I use to make mine without telling him  He's as big as a mountain but I tease him that he's still on breast milk
The teapot only comes out if we have non-family guests, and then it is served on a tray in the traditional way with a stainless steel teapot of boiling water and milk in a jug and sugar in a bowl so they can all make their own preferred strength and type of cuppa.
Not posh but because I cannot be 'arsed trying to remember who has what. :joker:

I use a teapot. I've got a tiny one just for me and a big one for more than one person. That said, I'm mostly a coffee drinker.

I've only used a teapot for tequila shots at a party. I called it "teaquila".
I went home alone that night.
