BB17 to premiere June 24

Big Brother debuts with a special two-night premiere on Wednesday, June 24 and Thursday, June 25, both at 8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT. The Thursday edition, featuring the live eviction show hosted by Julie Chen, moves to its regular time period on July 2 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT). The Sunday broadcast premieres June 28 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT). Last summer, all three editions of Big Brother regularly won their time periods in key young demographics and ranked among the summer’s top 10 programs in both adults 18-49 and adults 18-34.

hopefully, the thing is, though, both BBCan and BBUS is casted by the same casting company so I don't know how Robyn Kass can get it so right with BBCan but so wrong with BBUS

I know! I guess maybe it comes down ultimately to what the executive producers of bbus ask of Kassting in relation to bbcan's executive producers. Because you're right, bbcanada shows how great Robyn Kass is so my guess is that Allison grodner still has no idea what she's doing!

she must be to blame, I can't think of any other logical reason as to why the last 3 or 4 years of BBUS have had a pretty poor cast in terms of newbies

I'm actually excited for this. The last 2 seasons weren't the best (BB16 gets too much of a bad rep tho) but I'm just too much of a fan of BBUS to not look forward to the next one. :joker:

I really hope they actually cast people who they think can win the game. I seriously can't believe they thought many of the BB16 HouseGuests could win? I mean Paloa, Joey, Jocasta to name a few...such a waste.

I was going to include Cody in my list but left him out as I thought he might have done well pre-season. I hated Frankie but at least he seemed like someone who could win, not a Derrick fan either but he did dominate - would like to see how he plays against actual good players though!

Agreed Nick, it seems like such a waste to put players like Brittany who are obviously gonna be useless game-players. A few, sure for entertainment but the majority of the cast is silly and makes for a bad season

Cody actively made moves that benefited Derrick's game and hindered his own game, and on top of that he doesn't really have a personality and is just a Ken doll personified. The fact that he has a sizable fanbase here floors me. Frankie was good at competitions/being Ariana Grande's brother and thus having Grodner help him out, but nobody in the house could stand him so I doubt a jury would ever vote for him. And regardless of how good Derrick's game was, he was incredibly boring and was a huge reason why BB16 was absolutely horrid.

Brittany wasn't all that useless though lmao she actually had a killer instinct and had good reads on everyone. Of course, she doesn't have any filter so she expressed all of this in the worst way possible <3 Devin's HoH week was literally the only good week of BB16 and Brittany had a huge play in it.

But BB16 really had too many recruits and that's WHY Derrick was able to dominate so easily and make the season "boring" (don't think it was too boring personally). Even most of the non-recruits really weren't qualified enough as "superfans." Get a proper mix of both fans and recruits.

I think out of the BB16 cast Nicole was the Super fan of them all :lovedup:
