I was in Poundland
and 99p Stores

Both have young staff
You say "No Bag"
they still bag it
so you then say Louder "No Bag"

They then take it out the bag
sure they are more busy these days,

So I think we may as well have Robots serving
you push a green tab for bag
and a red tab for no bag

Humans will be the Security staff.
And remove children that that think the tabs are a game

The self service checkouts are horrendous

'Please place the item in the bagging area' 'Place the item back in the bagging area'

**** off.

Get rid of all the pointless machines and create more jobs for humans again.

Better to take your own cloth shopping bags. That way there is less plastic in the environment.

Good for Poundland, too many places try to mug you off these days either by making you pay for a bag or by treating you like scum when you do want one :idc:

The problem is you cannot expect a man to carry a plastic bag or a good sized bag for life around as we do not have handbags so really this is just a 5p tax on men. Men should get free bags and it should be 10p for a woman as no woman should be walking around without plastic bags in their handbags

Toy Soldier
05-03-2015, 08:47 AM
It's the opposite problem up here since the 5p bag charge came into effect. If you don't happen to have a stash of carrier bags in your pocket then you have to point out to them that you would like one, or else they just stand there staring at you, like they expect you to just bundle the 20 items you've bought under your arms and go.

I'm the opposite, I hate when they don't give you bags, how do you expect me to carry it, pile it all up in my arms?
Speaking of M&S, i hate how they charge you 5p for a regular sized bag but i normally use the self serve tills and pick the 'M&S to go' bags which are free and take one of the regular bags. #rebel

They drive me crazy Josy, I really hate them. When you think about it, using them means we the customers are doing the job staff should be but not getting paid to do so too.

even the euro saver shops here (equivalent of your poundland shops) charge for bags, they sell those cloth bags though for 50c (which is better value than the supermarkets)

Yes we are behind

The managers give the 10 or 12 staff
thousands of thin bags
he wants the money from customers

Meanwhile Poundland CEO
is trying to buyout 99p stores

So sadly some stores will go as many
are near each other
which is great for us customers

I like the game of picking a till operator who you would like to have sex with, this can be tricky in Aldi when its 2 spotty herbert males but in Morrisons its a pleasant and rewarding game

It puzzles me always that somewhere out there is a profession called "Shopping Bagger".

I would never want other people bagging my shopping after i have bought them.

Not after i have paid for them. I rarely buy fruit anymore though, which is a flaw of mine.

I really should buy more bananas, oranges and apples instead of sweets. They taste better and are obviously healthier.

There isn't really over here, if you're getting groceries the cashier might help pack but for most you just do it yourself

In places like convenience stores like the spar or places like pound world, because you're not getting a lot up they'll just pop it all into some bags
