Re-Nationalise the railways or make it an essential service and ban staff from striking

Stikes are so 80's and are a complete failure pay structure/negotiated pay settlements

They help nobody........

An outdated way of trying to blackmail employers into giving pay rises with money they don't have.

There'd still be strikes if the railways were nationalised but I would support the re-nationalisation of them again now, definitely.

Private railways do have money, the profits from these companies are huge.
I'll save my hand wringing for those who really deserve it.
Strangely it's usually nationalised professions striking... shows what great employers the conservative govts are/ have been.

They should be re-nationalised and all profits should be used to pay the workers the industry norm salary and the remainder should be re-invested into the railway infrastructure and any surplus used to keep annual price rises to a minimum.

That way everyone is happy , the Govt, Managing Company, workers and the travelling public.

So simple really.
