According to testimony at the police fatality fact-finding review, two BLM officers were responding to a report of a hitch-hiker in the road and a possible assault on Highway 159 when they encountered 20-year-old D'Andre Berghardt.

They claim they tasered him four times after he refused to listen to commands.

Dash cam video, showing the final moments of Berghardt's life, was at the center of the hearing that claimed Berghardt's life on Valentine's Day in 2014.

I mean here we have again a perp resisting arrest and attacking law enforcement officers and then trying to get into their wagon to get their guns and surprise surprise he ends up getting shot dead.

Yes and it could have been the law enforcement officers, people who protect citizens from crime and get poorly paid for what they do.

Fair point the blokes in the Youtube video make, why not cuff him? Again, poor policing if several cops are unable to restrain one unarmed man. I can see why they ended up shooting him but it shouldn't have got to that position in the first place

I just watched both video clips and I have to say this poor was basically executed because the police had run out of ideas of how to arrest him .

They were basically afraid to grab him letting him instead wander around the highway after numerous Taserings failed.

So once he made an attempt to get into the cop car he was basically signing his death warrant as there would have weapons in there so the cops could claim it was pre- emptive self defence.

What a bunch of murdering cowardly scumbags.

Just another case of poorly trained officers needlessly taking another life.

US police officers need to be taught that their guns should be the LAST resort, too officers are executing people when they could have been subdued or dealt with in a nonviolent way.
