Don't get why they have to cancel Sundays episode and have 'doubts' about the future of the show.
The segments are filmed months in advance but the studio sections are filmed only a couple of days before it airs and this happened a week ago. So they dont have a full show to broadcast.
Any blow to the BBC viewing figures is a good thing. They will be queuing up to get Clarkson and his buddies onto a commercial channel.

This always intrigues me, petitions are set up to either support or be against someone but there is rarely if ever 2 petitions going at the same time, both for the pro and anti feelings to be expressed.

With the millions that watch TV and this petition to bring him back, I am always left wondering in these things how many signatures would be there for the alternative view.

My point is,if you get say 500,000+ in the end saying bring him back, of the millions that 'could' sign such a petition, that likely leaves a great many more, either not bothered about the issue at all, or even far more, like myself not wanting him back at all.

BBC - BomberClarkson - DownGear - a message to Jeremy C supporters 11.03.15

one individual
really is pulling the strings
Jeremy's BBC contract will have a vigil
just like me not being allowed to POV forum post it stings.
why are you wrapped
the smell is starting to linger
so many times you should have scrapped
but round the BBC Jeremy has his finger.
i do like the "anti PC" brigade
infarct often the first to let loose
but Jeremy does self and channel degrade
sitting pretty is this golden goose.
the show brings in loot
world wide is the extension
all the repeats are no mute
Jeremy is sure to think the "car" is the best invention.
nursery rhymes are a betrayal
racism was clearly a breach
this car needs to go off road and by rail
practice your employees code and don't preach.
shame on all you supporters
with your acceptable code i do fear
we need 2 exporters
first rid Jeremy and secondly never show "Top Gear".

( with all what Jeremy has said, i think it is now time for him to go. or am i punching above my station ? want to read what inspired my views ? you can here http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-31828184)

Arista this article from the BBC news website was updated at 1.28pm today and doesn't mention what you are saying, it still says this..

BBC News special correspondent Lucy Manning said sources had confirmed reports Clarkson was suspended for "allegedly hitting a producer".

"The incident is believed to have happened last week, but was reported to the BBC on Monday and dealt with on Tuesday," she said.

look Andy and Clarkson go back more than 25 years and they are always scrapping and arguing, he is not "a" producer he is "the" producer and is entirely responsible for the growth of the Top Gear show.

This is not Clarkson swinging at a random work colleague its just a barney between close friends and really does not amount to much at all.

It's quite amusing how angry people can get over one person. I bet 60-70% of these people slating Jeremy have never watched Top Gear.

Jeremy hitting someone is just an alleged story, the BBC have said nothing apart from it was a fracas with a producer. Maybe he did hit someone, maybe he didn't. Even if he did we don't know why, how it happened, if he had his buttons pushed, and people can use the "you can't excuse hitting someone" argument, although everyone has a tipping point. For all we know Jeremy simply pushed someone in a light manner. The fact this apparently happened last week and wasn't reported till yesterday seems to imply it really wasn't that serious. If it was as bad as the media is making out Clarkson would have been arrested by the police last week.

Everything in the press is speculation and mostly likely over inflated so they can get people reading their sites and buying the papers. I wouldn't bother concluding opinions when there is literally nothing out there that tells us the exact thing that happened.

Absolutely, you are right. and since he was in the company of a producer then it's valid no matter when it ocurred.

Imagine if you or I worked somewhere, then were out and in company outside of work with others and your bosses but we threatened to or actaully did hit the boss.
What would happen.

I dare bet we would be suspended and likely sacked, then even moreso likely to face at the least a police interview as to the incident and even possibly end up in court too.

It would be at the very least felt that you or I and that boss could not work together and Clarkson knew it was one of his bosses/producers.

Odd how people who drink and get violent who are not celebrities are called thugs and wastes of space but this vile loudmouth, can threaten violence and even commit it and just have it put down as being one of and acting like one of the 'lads'.

Not for me, he is well overdue in being got rid of from TV anyway in my view, and for once I am actually quietly pleased, this time, he chose to explode at the wrong person.

Well if my mind already wasn't solidly made up then that would have sent me rushing even more to vote Labour or even for any other party than the Conservatives.

What an advertisement for them that would be, a violent loudmouthed bigot that can only insult and probably bully people too.
He for sure is at home with the present Conservative party under David Cameron.

It's misleading, I think the comparison was made because of the astonishing level of friends-in-high-places weighing in on the debate and giving him preferential treatment in the face of him being a complete arsehole. The producer is getting death threats. Because he got punched. And kept quiet and didn't file a complaint because he's terrified of Jeremy Clarkson and wanted to keep his job. He took a punch and kept quiet to keep his job. If that's the power Jeremy Clarkson wields, I don't think he deserves it. Give him the boot and revamp the Top Gear format, he's clearly over it anyway.

What a superior asshole, he shouldn't be untouchable and I'm glad justice is being served, the ****er should have been arrested. If it was a normal person he would have been charged with assault on top of losing his job.

I haven't tried to justify anything lol. I'm just posting in here because the whole debacle is hilarious (with all due respect for the producer). I think the BBC will sorely miss the audience he brings, which in turn brings them (and the producer) money. I personally would like him to stay but that's just my opinion.
