One of the biggest things on X factor to ever annoy me so much is what they did to janet! I loved her at her audition, I loved the YouTube clips she had done previously. X factor destroyed her, gave her the wrong songs and had no idea what to do with her! But... I have just downloaded all her stuff on spotify(and yes I am aware her album flopped) but I have listened to it for the first time and listened to her covers too. It's so nice to see she has gone back to her roots and yeah I know there isn't a lot of support for her but I love her music so much and she is a very underrated talent. If you liked her I recommend having a listen I wish she could get some mainstream support!!!!

Yeah I loved Janet tbh, she was my favourite and i found her better than Little Mix but xf wasn't really for her.

Yeah I know X factor really let her down. She had a really distinctive voice with that lovely Irish twang. Because of stupid weekly themes and ridiculous song choices(mmmbop?!?!) it ruined her chance. Personally I now think she is at her best and should maybe consider applying for the voice? I think they would nurture her really well

Well look at Ella now? She never would've been allowed to be so contempary on her series.

And Lauren's hatred by some of the public was just bizarre, I mean except for about 3 performances she was doing really good performances and along with Andrea was also doing the most iconic performances of the series.

Would you get over it Mock lol She didn't do well because she wasn't mentored properly or given the right songs. She's not a typical "pop" act which X Factor is all about. I liked Janet alot but I don't think for one second that she wasn't popular because people were jealous of her :laugh:

Btw I thought that Ella gave a strong performance on Comic Relief.

You've got to understand that just because a contestant is a pretty white girl, doesn't mean that's why they're hated... in Janet's case is was because she was impossible to connect with on a 'reality' tv show basis, she was incredibly dull.

Diana Vickers had about 15% that loved her by the end, everybody else hated her.

And too true about we're all not gonna agree on who's dull and who's not, I just find that the pretty young white girls (along with Indie singers) do tend to get the dull tag more than anybody else does in the competition.

And LiamPRW the only sad one for me as she only got to week 4 and she was stunning was Sophie Habibis, of course I would've loved Lauren to have won the recent series, but it was only one week without her so I could cope with that, but poor Sophie Habibis.:bawling:

Well yes, that is unexplainable if you look at the proportion of talent each of them had, but even though i hated him Frankie had more of whatever 'it' is and I don't mean herpes.

Ruth is easily my favourite contestant ever and she did have a lot of people saying she loved herself because she was a confident woman.. but again, if people hated her, she wouldn't have made it as far as she did

How come these pretty girls always apparently have something about them that makes them unvoteable, but the good looking guys are seen as lovely people in every series? Especially the more mature looking men.

Idk Mock, i i don't have all the answers, but in my experience on watching the show, the majority of the pretty girls are just that, pretty but dense as housebricks.

Tbh I can agree with you on that as most of my favourites have been alternative male singers.

I just definitely think that contestants like Sophie, Lauren, Carolynne, Ruth, Diana, Janet, Abi, Lucie, Amelia, and Ella seemed to cause more controversy than Sam Bailey, Mary Byrne, and Stacey Solomon and I'm definitely interested as to why that is?
