I'm on PAYG. I'm not 18, so I can't get my own contract, and my dad wont let me have one in his name. He's the sort of person who doesn't trust any company, so he likes to pay monthly, instead of automatic payments.

Pay as you go is amazing these days, £10 top up and for it I get basically all the texts, calls and data I need which lasts about a month, much cheaper than most contracts

I'm on PAYG, although I've had my current phone for two years. Looking at getting a new phone this year although will end up on contract as I can't afford to buy a phone outright and do PAYG.

Im on PAYG. I don't think I would use my phone enough to get a contract

Contract. Almost a waste of time however as I never carry the phone around with me anyway.

I think PAYG is good if you are a low user and don't want the commitment of a contract but generally PAYG is more expensive than being on a contract.

There are now two elements to every deal...the air time contract and the hardware contract. Air time contracts without any hardware (sim only) are less expensive than PAYG because PAYG charge you more for not making that monthly commitment.

I use mine all the time though, though mainly for 3G and wifi. Had a text through yesterday to say I've saved over £50 with my last £10 top up on my pay as you go bundle, seems like with each top up I get about the same as a lot of people pay about 20/30 quid a month for. There's a lot of really good PAYG deals out there these days, its moved on a lot from just paying 12p a text, 10p a minute and so on

I agree, it has moved on a lot.

I pay £11 a month for a sim only contract. For that I get 500 text messages, unlimited calls to all mobiles and 8GB of data.

This. The price plan I'm on is by far cheaper than the contract I was on. Although I'm switching providers as O2 have been bought by the 3network. :nono::nono:

:shocked:same here!

I'm pay as you go, i don't use my phone enough for contract and to be honest i do hate my phone....most of the time my phone has died and when i look at it i've got loads of messages and missed calls:hehe:

Luckily everyone knows what i'm like with my phone, i miss the days of the red phone boxes, and the freedom of not being contacted!

That's better than mine tbf, I top up a tenner and get one of these Vodafone freedom freebies for a month, gives you unlimited texts, 150 minutes, and 500MB of data. Have only ever once exceeded that I think so is pretty good

Pay as you go. I wouldn't know where to begin with a contract, the idea scares me a little.
