Has anyone ever done this. I seen this thing a few "celebs" have been using and thought I'd try it out.

It's called coco white and its a coconut pulling oil. I'll let you know how it works out

Louise from BB12 is using it

I use these strips which have loads of spelling mistakes in the instruction booklet. But, they actually work really well. You just wear them for 30 minutes a day, my teeth look really white now.

omfg i have been trying to get cocowhite for about 4 weeks, they have "limited stock" at 1pm every day and anytime i try to get it, it's sold out straight away :fist:

i managed to place an order a couple of weeks ago and after 10 days of it not arriving, they emailed me saying my order had been cancelled because of stock issues :moorangu:

no, I'm usually online so i'll just be on for 8pm, does the email notification give any special thing? like email you at half 7 with a code or something?

Also how much was P&P for you bc for me it was like £12

I have never whitened my teeth, just old fashioned toothpaste does the trick for me, I would like to try it some time though, just to see what it's like.

I dunno I haven't signed up for the email, cause I just luckily went on today at 5 to 8 and waited.

It said postage was £3.99

So inn total it was £23.98

Just read this http://authoritynutrition.com/oil-pulling-coconut-oil/ and it sounds like you can use any oil. They suggest sesame seed oil or plain old coconut oil. I'm going to give it a try.

I may go see if I can find some coconut oil in Tesco next time and try that. Sounds interesting, but I would rather try it with just oil from a store first, rather than paying £20 for cocowhite. According to Tesco's site you can buy it from £5 so that sounds far more appealing for a first try.

bicarb and lemon juice is good but you'd have to be careful as it could damage your enamel if you did it too often or for too long.
The normal pulling with coconut oil sounds safest.

You can whiten your teeth just by doing 'oil pulling' with normal organic coconut oil

Where is Zee to back me up on this, he's tried it..

Also seen some AP 24 toothpaste getting raved about lately but when I checked online there was mixed reviews.

Ooh post results please. Before and afters..in mod thread if not wanting to on here :p

If this works, I think I will try it. My teeth are completely white bar the front ones that could do with some work, but its either smoking or endless cups of tea thats knacked them so not sure if its reversible or not. I actually blame the tea tbh, as I have smoked since 15 and never ever had a problem with my teeth, then when skye was born I got addicted to tea (have about 7 cups a day) and thats when it started. Its not massively noticeable but it always stands out to me

Just had another look at the price of this and theres no way I would pay that for it tbh, you can buy a massive tub of decent coconut oil for that to use for oil pulling and you can use it for thousands of other things along with that (which I have posted about a lot in the past so wont get into it lol)

I get bleach from my hygienist, it's very mild and I use it about twice a year. She made a cast of my teeth and I got a kind of gumsheild... you put a tiny amount of bleach in it and sleep in it for a week or so. It works brilliantly. It cost about £250 and you just replace the bleach when you need to... although I'm quite stingy with it.

I've been doing it for three days and yeah, the texture of it at the start is disgusting. When it has melted it's fine to have in the mouth, doesn't feel much different to having water or mouthwash.

Yesterday I met up with a friend who has just had that new teeth whitening procedure. Her teeth are now so white that it looks like she's got false teeth. She's really pleased with them and of course, I have enough tact not to tell her she looked like she was wearing dentures.

IMO whiter than white teeth do not look real.

What do you think about this new 'Hollywood smile'?

The article that DR posted on the first page says you can use a Sesame or Sunflower Oil but Coconut Oil is better, this section here :

I Personally Prefer Coconut Oil

Traditionally, the Indians used other oils such as sesame oil or sunflower oil.

Oil pulling should work with pretty much any oil you choose, but I prefer coconut oil because it has many health benefits.

The Lauric Acid (one of the fatty acids in coconut oil) is also proven to be antimicrobial… it can kill bacteria, viruses and fungi (1, 2).

The taste of coconut oil is also fairly pleasant compared to other oils. I found it rather disgusting at first having my mouth full of oil, but I got used to it after a few days.

In regards to oil pulling, does it work?
And would this coconut oil be okay to use for oil pulling?

It worked for me, it's not as quick and effective as other teeth whitening options out there but other teeth whitening kits hurt my teeth where as oil pulling is painless. It's apparently good for skin and overall health too.

Coco White is just Coconut Oil mixed with a mint flavouring to make it taste less yucky, so I'd imagine that one you linked would be fine. Although i'd rather pay the £20 for Coco White because it comes in sachets and doesn't taste bad.

I have some whitening strips from boots but you're meant to do them twice a day and I generally do it for 2 days in a row then forget/cba.
