[Three British teenagers planning to join the terror group
Islamic State in Syria have been detained in neighbouring Turkey.
The group, who have not been named, were apprehended
at Sabiha Gokcen airport in Istanbul.
They first travelled from England to Spain before
flying on to Turkey, according to Sky sources.
But in a statement, the Metropolitan Police said counter-terrorism officers
were alerted on Friday that two 17-year-old boys
from northwest London had gone missing and
were believed to be travelling to Syria.
Enquiries revealed they had gone with a third male, aged 19.]

Might be an idea to just not let any of these 'Fighters' back in.
Could put the next lot off going.

If you do that
they will go to Syria IS
and pop back to kill us , maybe.

Could put the next lot off going.
But then the only alternative is to let them join IS then really, we can't expect Turkey or anyone else to take care of them for us

They are back with the familys "now"
in London
on bail.
Can't believe they were given bail, surely them wanting to join the most extreme Islamist organisation on the planet makes them a national security threat

What could they charge them with? They'd not actually done anything except board a plane.
At least now they can be closely monitored.

Sadly, Human Rights lawyers are well versed in keeping scum out of prison and on the streets. I don't know how they sleep at night.

I agree that intent alone is not sufficient to convict someone of a crime, but if these people actually travel to Syria and actually join ISIS then it's not intent anymore and their passports should be immediately revoked and they immediately become targets for missile strikes , drone strikes, shells, mortars, artillery and any other weaponry you could mention.
Acts of treason like this should carry a mandatory death penalty ... No debate, no excuses, no delays....
