Zayn Malik has left the One Direction tour for the upcoming dates.

The band member has been signed off with stress for the band's gigs in Manila and Jakarta and has returned to the UK.

"Zayn has signed off with stress and is flying back to the UK to recuperate," a spokesperson for the group told The Sun.

"The band wish him well and will continue with their performances in Manila and Jakarta."

It has yet to be confirmed when Malik will return to performing with fellow members Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Niall Horan.

Yesterday, Malik spoke out against the "jealous ******s" who started rumours that he cheated on his fiancee, Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards, after he was reportedly spotted with a 'mystery girl' in Bangkok.

Malik wrote on Twitter: "I'm 22 years old... I love a girl named Perrie Edwards. And there's a lot of jealous ******s in this world I'm sorry for what it looks like."

They should cancel this tour entirely. It's way too soon. All five of them have been continuously touring since early 2013 with three tours - they need a year from touring to concentrate on making the actual music THEN go on a tour. It's no good making music on tour.

Zayn's "stress" is probably half stress half "oh **** I just cheated on my girlfriend better head home now". However, this isn't the first time he's had to miss work commitments in the past few months. He missed a huge chunk of American promotion for their fourth album.

Surely they have enough money now to take people on in their entourage to help with destressing and such knowing it would be a factor. He should sweat it out for his fans who pay good money to see them.
