In the first picture she looks like she's missing all her bottom teeth too. Nothing but implants/dentures would lift that sunken lower face.

She looks good for the surgery and she's feeling great so yes, she absolutely did the right thing.

Wow, one of the rare results that makes surgery look good.

But obviously a full mouth of teeth, makeup, hair and good lighting will improve her for the second picture even without surgery.
