Oooo... I was waiting for this
I will definitely check out the first few to see how it goes
Late night-Every night tv isn't usually my thing though
I like once a week late night shows better because the content is usually more meaty and planned with less fillers and mindless jokes
But I do love James!!

Like a plastic bag....
Wayyy.
I don't get the fuss with this guy, why was he nominated for an award from the Queen and why has he been given this gig? He keeps getting these high profile jobs and I just don't get it, he's not particularly funny or charismatic?!
Also he's clearly ripping off the Graham Norton formula of having multiple guests on the sofa and letting all the celebrities do the work to make his show entertaining.
Marsh.

I really don't get it either.
But then I never understood the fuss with Russell Brand either when he started doing Hollywood movies.

The guy he is replacing was the worst... with ratings in the toilet tbh...
He has three years worth of job security, with very little expectation it seems based on past history of the program.
So why not give it a go? At least his idea's are original, to Americans anyways. Bringing something different to late night won't be a bad thing imo.

Yeah I found Russell Brand goes to Hollywood a bit surreal, he's a quintessentially British type of character - but I suppose that's why they lapped him up over there, he's a Victorian geezer with a sex life and a former drug addiction that tabloids love all in one - helped that he shacked up with Katy Perry for five minutes too...
James Corden though, I just do not understand. Well done to him and all, but I cannot fathom his career whatsoever.

I think his only competition is Seth Meyers and sleep really since Yanks don't usually stay up that late

This could be said for any host on any show any where. At the beginning they are fresh and new, in the end they are not. How is this news?
But you seem to think you have a crystal ball to predict his failure, and all I'm saying is we shall see.
..I think that Americans will get him in the way that Ricky Gervais has also been successful there/I think James has the same 'adaptability' with his humour and I think he'll do well...personally I don't find him funny at all but I wish him the best of luck..great early guests/Tom Hanks and Will Ferrell soon..:flutter:...
