What a great dog, he obviously adores his owner. I don't know any pit bulls but I know quite a few Staffies, one in particular is a big, hard-looking bugger, but they're all really nice natured. All down to the owner, like you say...
I am familiar with Staffies, and while they are hugely affectionate and loyal, they are very protective too. So if they see anything as a potential threat to their happy home, they will have it.
