I think it's fair that he's leaving, they had a good run and he earned enough money to live comfortably so I don't see any reason for him to stay, it's probably extremely boring to have everyone watching you and talking about you constantly, can't be good for the mental health. Not that shocked however. I expected it. I'm glad I got the chance to see One Direction as a five piece band live last year before this. I've just seen that picture and it's disgusting. Zayn Malik quits One Direction: 69% of fans support his decision

One Direction fans have largely supported Zayn Malik's decision to quit the group.

Oxford University analysed tweets surrounding news of the singer's departure, finding that 69% of fans expressed positive sentiments towards Malik.

"The degree of positivity reflects the mixed emotions that people often experience in similar 'loss situations'," Oxford University's Dr Karo Moilanen explained.

"Despite Malik's shocking departure that caused obvious shock and sadness, his fans still love him dearly."

I agree that people are likely to like someone that they fancy, imo though I do think that I have to like something else about the female singer than just looks like personality, vocals, and of course a good song helps.
