Eamonn Holmes reveals Big Brother ban

THIS Morning presenter Eamonn Holmes has been banned from doing Celebrity Big Brother – because his wife doesn’t want the UK to see him in his pants.

The telly host has revealed he was asked to take part after a brief guest appearance on the Channel 5 show back in January.

And despite having reservations about doing it, he admitted that he could ‘‘no longer ignore this now’’ and wanted to be one of the housemates.

But his missus and fellow This Morning and Loose Women host Ruth Langsford, 55, stepped in and stopped him from signing on the dotted line.

Eamonn revealed: “I have been asked to do Celebrity Big Brother and I say to Ruth ‘I don’t think we can ignore this now.’

She is like: ‘That is not happening. I am not having people see what you’re really like. You and your underwear.’

It boils down to my underwear why I am not allowed to go on.”

The star, whose weight has often been the butt of jokes from TV critics, says size doesn’t matter as long as you can do a good job.

He added: “I could give you a list of people who are thin, c**p and have no personality. I just work hard. The gods up there dictate.”

Yes it would seem so:laugh: The other reason I don't want to see motor mouth Holmes in the house is because he talks over people a lot. Even when he's doing an interview he hardly lets the person being interviewed get a word in edgeways.
