There are very few comedy programmes that I simply know will have me howling with laughter. Harry Hill's TV Burp is one of them. It's ITV1's comedy treasure: a supremely funny, silly, sideways, backwards, any way you like, view of TV. Hill, a staunch TV fan who never sounds like he's merely sneering, is an astute observer of absurdities. The dotty soap plots and the daft dramas are all fair game, but as this is recorded very close to transmission, we can't tell you who he'll have in his sights. But the likes of Emmerdale, Coronation Street and EastEnders and their grim, supposedly festive plots, had better watch out. This is a comic rarity - a programme that any TV-loving family can sit down and watch together. He's clean, is our Harry. RT reviewer - Alison Graham

TV Burp has to be the funniest programme on the box. It has me in stitches every time i see it. I wish it had a primetime Saturday night slot then everyone can see how funny it really is!

I used to think it was very amusing when he'd take the piss out of Fred Elliot.

Good old Fred!
