Im starting to do a level 3 diploma in Media and production in September and my parents are really against me getting an Apple laptop.
They say there to expensive, that it will get stolen, etc.
I will be using al my birthday money to get the laptop.
I have an iPad which I would sell to get to the laptop, I love the iPad but its accessing stuff which is difficult because theres no port for memory stick.
And if I get a windows then I won't be able to access any work because the college only uses iMacs with apple only programes like iMovie. Ive grown up with macs since starting school so am pretty bad at using windows.
What should I do?

If you're only getting it for school and you need to be compatible with the things you need for school then get a macbook.
If you want to use it for various things such as games etc.. and you want to use it when you finish your diploma then I would be against getting anything but Windows to be honest.
Only you know what's best for you, if you put aside your ideas about the brand etc.. and just think about functionality and what you personally need it shouldn't be a hard decision.
Personally, I would never get a macbook because I could build a high powered gaming PC that would last years for the price of one macbook. :joker:

Windows, i don't really see the appeal for a mac apart from the fact they are less likely to get viruses but then again i've never once got a virus on any of my windows
