View Full Version : Does anybody feel constantly angry?

Mystic Mock

I don't know why but peoples habits and behaviour can bug me more now than they did 3 years ago for example.

I don't know if I'm the problem or if people are idiots in general, or a mix of both, but all I can say is that I'm very much a loose cannon at people lately.:joker:

Anybody else feeling angry like they want to smash stuff up lately?

Depends on my mood, sometimes I'd get annoyed with everything, but I don't get angry.

You could try mediation Mock, also people can't really help their habits, it's part of life. Or look for some creative outlet for your anger, that doesn't involve smashing things up.

I would just cancel my flight lessons if I were you

It's a mixture of the Election time, how some people like to talk to me like I'm a piece of garbage, and just loads of other stuff that I can't go into as it's to do with other people and as they don't post on here I don't want to leak information out about them.

I don't know if it will help, but reading 'Marcus Aurelius - Meditations' helps me a lot. I'm more laid back now, but when I was younger I used to get angry a lot, especially, like you, with the way people talked to me. One of the things I took mostly to heart was when he wrote 'Why do you care what other peoples opinions are of you, when you don't know those people'
Or words to that effect anyway. I haven't read Marcus Aurelius for a while now, but at the time it did help.

A bag of what? :/

It's probably your testosterone levels fluctuating if you're a young man mock, channel it in a positive way. If you feel someones putting you down, tell them (calmly), we can only be treated as we allow ourselves to be treated :)
Are you working off your energy? you will feel frustrated and moth eaten if you're bored. Have a good work/life/sleep balance.

You know what Mock, I am getting to feel more angry than I used to,how I deal with it is stop being around whatever is getting me angry and head off to listen to music or take the dog out for a walk.

Particularly at this time with the election and my passion for politics, I am finding I feel angry more although I contain it.

Maybe you have had things to think about recently that has made you less tolerant, you will learn how to avoid it eventually and I haven't really noticed you getting angry or that different anyway.
I think, looking across my own friends and family even, I am finding them able to get more cross than usual, so maybe there is something in the air.

I just wonder if it's just gonna be a very angry year for most of us due to the stress of Politics, the Reality Shows always eating people up, and of course just regular problems that pop up in your day to day life?

I've definitely notice you stand your ground with people probably more strictly than you used to, but I think that's a good thing, especially if you want to get into Politics or Law.

But yeah I definitely feel like I'm changing to some degree, I'm hoping that once the Election is over that people might finally go back to normal on here and off of here, but then BB16 will start so all the over sensitivity will probably start back up again and me and loads of others for daring to breathe will get attacked for being "rude" and "immoral" about certain contestants.

I am older now Mock and seen many things I didn't believe could happen that are.
I think as to politics there is lots to get angry about, then the fears of terrorism can get people annoyed at the law and its weaknesses.
Life has been far from easy the last 7 years at least, hardly suprising some are more agitated at times than others.

You were always pretty forthright in your posts despite you getting a lot of stick which I noticed when I first joined, I recall at the time of the riots you were going crazy at Cameron being out of the country at that time.
You and I were both leaning to the Conservatives at that time too.

I don't think you are that angry, like me, you are maybe more assertive and determined not to be walked over.
That is in no way a bad thing at all.

Anger comes and goes, as I said, I listen to music or take the dog out.
As long as you don't let anger consume you and more to the point, when you are angry, you believe you are in the right, then stick to your guns.
Hold back on possibly perceived insults and get your message across, both on here and off here.
I am often at loggerheads with a a good few of my Cousins off here at present.
It happens but if I believe I am right then I will go on and on and on.

I suppose that I'm ironically being overly sensitive due to all the comments that was made towards me during CBB, and all the sarcastic comments that have been thrown my way just for having a different opinion.

I should probably try and rise above it but maybe I've got a bigger ego than I initially thought it's probably up to you to decide on that.:joker:

not constantly, but sometimes i do just get overwhelmed with frustration for no clean reason. i feel like i'm going to explode out of my skin and can't figure out how to calm myself down or why i'm even so frustrated.

the best thing to do i've found is just ride it out, listen to some intense music maybe go for a walk or take a bath. change your environment. throw things around a little bit. but it takes usually at least an hour to fully calm down.

No I don't.

And this isn't aimed specifically at anyone btw it's just what I honestly think...

Younger people, mainly teenagers and even some adults I guess, have far too much time to think about stupid pointless things these days, they escalate completely minute problems and turn them into a massive issues when most of the time it's nothing at all and again I think that's because they have far too much time on their hands, they don't see friends that often and instead depend on texting and social media for socialising completely missing out on human contact.

When I was a teenager we barely had time to dwell on things, we DID NOT want to either, we were always out with friends, taking part in activities and so on and the mindset then was to 'get over it' when we moaned about silly issues and no it wasnt hundreds of years ago before anyone attempts to come out with the age jokes..

Anyway yeah that's just my opinion but if you do genuinely feel angry constantly then you need to put an appointment on with your GP Mock.

I actually agree with this. I see a massive difference in how my kids are to how I was at their age. Obviously every generation sees that, but young people nowadays are under way more pressure than we were. They are constantly scrutinised and there are cameras and CCTV everywhere, so they can't get away with anything without someone seeing it or filming it and plastering it all over the internet..

I would hate to be a teenager in this day and age to be honest. Life was much easier when you could **** off out for hours and do bad stuff where nobody was watching..
