Do you agree? Which one do you think is the best one?

For me itīs a toss up between FF7, FF6, FF8 and FF9, tbh.

I think iīll go for FF7.

I'm a VII and IX fan personally.

I won't vote because I've only played XII and XIII, but out of those two I definitely preferred 12.

From worst to best for mine (though I generally like all of them)

Lightning Returns, XIII, X-2, XIII-2 VII, Type-0, XIV: A Realm Reborn, IX, X

Only played X and have no interest in playing the others as I think the boat has sailed for first time players. But X is amazing.

But each one is completely seperate from the last one, unless its a spin off or a "-2" sequel.

I mean more in terms of aging, I find it hard to look past.

I tried FFVII for a few hours not long ago and it was a struggle. Even the likes of Ocarina of Time, despite it apparently aging great, I thought was pretty mediocre when I finished it a couple of years ago. Guess it's more that my personal boat has sailed :p

Has anyone tried the XV demo? I enjoyed it... I'm cautiously optimistic about the game. The four guys have a bit of a homoerotic thing going on, yes, but overall I enjoyed every minute of the demo...

plus the Ramuh summon at the end is genuinely awesome...

The only thing XV needs is some female characters now.

1. IX - Bae.
2. VII - Just a lot of fun
3. XIII - I actually love the battle system and the music.
4. IV - Dragon Knights, Dark Knights, Paladins, yes.
5. VI - So many characters
6. V - The job system <3
7. X - Probably my favourite battle system, but weak stoyline and characters.
8. I - Still a fantastic, fun game tbh.
9. VIII - Weak storyline and slowwwww but still enjoyable
10. III - Just okay
11. XII - LONG and weak storyline
12. II - Different leveling system no ty

if anyone else loves the job system in 5 I'd STRONGLY recommend Final Fantasy Dimensions.

I agree. Of course it has Cindy the impractically attired mechanic, but she's not part of the dude squad. I actually found the dynamic alright though... Some people found it a bit annoying apparently.

That's a shame, I didn't play the 2D FF games until after I played FFX but I still loved them. If you get the chance you should give VII another chance, it can be a bit jarring going back but once you get over the initial few hours it's fanastic.
