Apparently I heard in the news that the Govt was going to be forced due to European legislation to change the rules relating to the current Calendar due to the metric system.

They are going to insist starting from next year we make the first day of each month the "0" of the Month and the 1st will effectively become the second day of the Month.

This is due to the metric system where the number "0" is actually the first whole number.

Yes, it's rather pointless, just one day a year for people to try and be funny, but fail... also, if April Fools is a must, then shops should not be allowed to stock silly string for devil minions to buy and use as they will :nono:

I think it's becoming a bit outdated now.

It's easier to spot what is an April fools these days, so many people make really dire attempts at it too it's just embarrassing for them more than anyone else. Humour is all good and I like a laugh as much as the next person. But half of what I've seen today has been people/sites/companies trying to create a very serious story for jokes lolz, and it's just... not funny.
