What is your pattern?

I tend to sleep at 11.30 and wake at 6.30 7 days a week. I have blinds to keep out the light and there are no noises such as cars, I get birdsong in summer and the odd sheep cough or mouse scrabbling in the attic.

But I know that if i do not get sleep I am a wreck and that people have more and more sleep issues especially with the advent of the internet and mobiles

I average 3 to 4 hours per night. The time I actually fall asleep varies but without exception, the earlier I do go to sleep the earlier in the 'wee small hours' do I awake, and once my eyes are opened I just HAVE to get up.

I have been like this all my life, but very strangely, I have always had an ability to close my eyes during the day - even for 10 minutes - and 'power nap', then open them and feel as if I'd just had 8 hours sleep.

In addition, it is in the early hours when everyone else is asleep that I am at my optimum - which is when I like to do my writing.

Weird - but wonderful.

I don't have a pattern. :hehe:

When I used to have a regular pattern it was going to bed between 11pm and 1am and getting up at 7.30

But the last few months it varies between 11pm and about 5am. However, the later I go to sleep the less sleep I have. Last night I only got 4 hours. I've not felt too bad today but it will no doubt hit me later on.

I go to sleep any time between 10 and midnight but I am usually awake between 5 am and 6am. My alarm goes off at 5.30 on the days I am working. Even if I go out and have a drink I can never sleep past 6.30 - 7.00 (unless I absolutely HAVE to get up, then I could sleep all day). I used to sleep like the dead but now I sleep really lightly....
