View Full Version : Easter Dinner
What do you have for Easter dinner or do you just treat it as a normal day?
We basically have a Christmas Dinner without the crackers and with lamb replacing Turkey along with Gammon and roast beef

We're going out for a meal at a friends house so i'm not really sure what we're having, think it'll just be some lamb/chicken.

I meant in terms of the amount and size/type of presents :fist:

Just a normal meal, I will prob make risotto later. I'm home alone at the mo, but even if my mom was here, there would be no difference.

Easter is just another day to my family, no fuss is made out of it at all, so a normal meal for us.

We're having homemade curry but we sometimes have that on a Sunday so it isn't really any different to a normal day

We treat it as a normal day but this year a load of family has invited themselves for dinner :bored: so it has a bit of a Christmas feeling.

Always do either a roast leg of lamb or roast gammon.
Lamb won out today, all the trimmings and then the Easter eggs for afters.
Years ago we used to have the extended family to lunch and tea, but far too lazy for all that cooking and baking now.

we're not doing anything... but i wish we were. it annoys me that we only sit together as a family once a year.
I'd have started making the meal myself, but i didnt realise we werent going to be doing anything. We have no groceries and everywhere is closed :/
i'm in a crappy mood now, lol. i went and bought easter eggs for everyone at home and no one got me one.
thinki might go throw myself off a bridge... that would show them

Me and all my sisters and my grandparents went to my mum and dads today. For starter my mum made prawn cocktail for all of us I think it was just for easiness as she got me to help and all it was was literally getting a few prawns a few leaves of salad and putting some ready done suave over the top. For main we had roast pork with roast potatoes, mashed carrots and turnip, brusell sprouts, peas, pigs in blankets, Yorkshire pudding and gravy. Then for desert my gran had brought some crumble round for us with custard and I feel like I can't eat for a week after all what we had. Literally the sight of food at the minute is just :omgno:
