[YouTube is to launch a paid-for service for
users who want to view videos without pre-roll advertising
and banners.]

["By creating a new paid offering, we'll generate a new source of revenue
that will supplement your fast-growing advertising revenue."
Some technology websites have speculated that the monthly fee
will be less than £10 each month, with 55% of the revenue
going to video creators and YouTube keeping the remainder.
The service is likely to be available sometime this year.]

I don't think so :nono:

Hope they don't do what 4oD do and block adblock.. it would ruin it.

Give it time and they will probably go the same way as our on demand TV websites do. ITV Player and 4oD do not work with ad-block enabled. I bet YouTube will go down that route eventually. Surprised they haven't yet actually.

I don't think they'll block Adblocker, it risks alienating the audience and could potentially give rise to a viable rival website.
