I think they only did it the first time, as it fitted in fantastically well with the Secrets and Lies theme, that year.

The May launch can be ruled out after next week if we haven't had anything, because that wouldn't leave them enough time to prepare everything for launch night. May 13th was a penciled in date but again, so was May 6th and that's not happening.

Nothing's been confirmed by Channel 5, for all we know it could be launching on June 4th - around the same time as last year's launch. I highly doubt it, and I hope not, but it does seem odd why they would have had the photo shoot and promo ready in mid-April, if it wasn't launching in Mid-May.

I'm still surprised that we haven't gotten anything, as we would have by now if it is launching in the week beginning 11th May. Unless they're keeping all the promo late this year.

If it is launching on 13th May, they've made a big mistake not revealing the eye last week, as the hype was at its peak then. And that would've also given them a nice amount of time to promote.

If we don't get anything by this Friday, then it's probably launching after Mid-May. Probably late May.

Hopefully we get something this week, as I'm bored to death of waiting. It's even worse this year as the speculation started back in Mid-March, and that's never happened for any series. Usually the hype begins around late April.

CBB13 managed to just beat the launch night rating in the final.

In the final, it was good coz they constructed an elevated walkway for the HMs come down and I loved how they had a huge stage in front of the massive audience. It was just so atmospheric, and both the launches and finals are now damp squibs compared to what they were IMO.

I am at least glad that they have started doing house tours again on launch night!

Oh another thing is that the series montages have all been utter shyte! The BB14 one was in but it needs to be in chronological order with no text and only one song. I also hate the HMs best bits montages - they are just so tacky.

But things have changed, as has the show. I hate to say it. :(
I don't mind them coming out from the eye, but I would prefer they got rid of the pop music, and only saved it for their evictions, and get rid of the housemates mini-interview with Emma. I miss the housemates being excited for meeting Emma, like how they were on Channel 4, with Davina. But with those mini-interviews they've already met her.
It would be better, if Emma stood at the bottom of the stage, and the housemate came out of the eye, with only the crowd reaction, had their photo taken, and went in the house. I don't mind Marcus's commentary on the housemate.
Get rid of that stage smoke when the door closes too. It's so tacky.

I love how the house tours are back, as they were non-existent with Brian. But, CBB14 and CBB15 didn't have one. Hope they come back for BB16. They need to be longer though. On Channel 4, sometimes the house tours often lasted longer than ten minutes, like BB8's amazing house tour.
Also, Emma needs to go in-depth. I've noticed she repeats herself in her house tours. In her BB15 house tour she kept mentioning the movie Alien, and in the CBB13 house tour she mentioned bitching and gossiping about 3 times.
Davina could spend one minute on something as simple as the bath tub, and make it interesting. With Emma, it's like "here's the bath tub, can fit two housemates here", moving on to the sink, etc, and so on.
Emma's a great presenter, so I think she's capable of doing a good tour, although I do understand it's hard when she's only given 3 minutes by the rushing producers.


The finals no longer feel like an event because they are rushed and also the exterior layout is too samey with the long walkway being permanent. It just feels like any other eviction.
They need something to make it stand out from ordinary evictions.
The interviews need to be longer than 4 minutes, too. That's just a lousy amount of time, for somebody who has spent weeks in the house, and has been crowned the winner.

They need to make the final show, two hours, not one and half, as it's too short. They could fit in longer interviews and a bit more highlights with that time.

That's a very good point emma. We never hear 'I can't wait for my interview with Emma!' I disagree with you about evictions - I still think evictions are all about how the crowd has perceived you and the sound effects and mus v ad nothing - they're just annoying!

I re-watched Alex's Eviction during the final of BB12 and although that series was tacky, it was most like channel 4's eviction, it had that tension music as she walked up the stairs, it had the countdown from 10 as she made her way up the stairs. And when the doors opened there was no music, no sirens just the crowd cheering.. After about 15 seconds the music started.... They need to be like that again.

Speaking of old style launches I decided to watch the BB6 launch today! Made me realise I can't remember a lot about the series a I only got to see the 2nd half of it. I don't even remember Sam Lesley Vanessa Saskia or Maxwell! So I think I might watch the whole series. But back to point I did love the way they uses to do the launches it would be ace if they could somehow get that same atmosphere back and I don't think it's the hm coming through the eye that's the problem, I think they need to get rid of the music and have Emma narrating about the housemates while they are coming down the runway and no mini interview. And there needs to be a door once they enter the house that seperates the house from the entrance/exit or even better the living room in the opposite side of the house to give them a long walk! Anyway where the hell is the eye??????

Eye hasn't being announced by Channel 5 yet. Also about the live feed, They have that Spike TV channel these days. A hour of live coverage on there would be great just after BOTs and not too much to ask. As that channel is on air until 03:00 in the morning.

I'm as anxious everyone else when it come to this stupid eye being released, but when I see people saying they ain't excited anymore and calling Ryan names etc.. It annoys me ( not because I'm his fan, believe me im not) because just a few months ago we didn't know if bb was axed or not and only 5 years ago we almost lost it forever... I just think people need to be a bit great-full for what they have.. Yes it doesn't feel like the same show as it did during golden years, that's because it's not.. nothing shocks us anymore, because we seen it all before.
