CELEBRITY Big Brother stars and fans are in uproar over rumours that TV bosses are plotting to put Jade Goody in the house.
The dopey star, who’s become a millionaire thanks to appearing on BB3, has been bragging that she and her family will be making a surprise appearance.
The ex-dental nurse, dubbed Miss Piggy by fans, was overheard making the boasts with her lover Jack Tweedy, 19, and mum Jackiey, 48, while out shopping.
But the rumours have sparked fury among the stars already signed up for the new CBB series which starts tomorrow night.
Stunned celebs, including model Danielle Lloyd, 23, and Ian “H” Watkins, 30, from Steps, are said to be furious.
They fear Jade, 25, may have bagged more than £150,000 to appear on the show and a further £100,000 each for her mum and boyfriend – and even her grandparents.
The worried celebs have tried to speak with show chiefs about the stunt, which is set to happen during Friday night’s live C4 show, but they have been met by a wall of silence.
And a source said: “They think it is outrageous if Jade and her trailer-trash family have been booked.
“For starters Jade knows how to play up to the cameras and get headlines by saying stupid things because she’s done it all before.
“And secondly they think she’ll have cost Channel 4 a packet because she can command huge sums for appearances these days.
“Thirdly, if Jade does appear, then the celebs are going to be disappointed that the producers have had to resort to finding old housemates for the programme to get ratings.
“It’s like saying: ‘Our line-up’s not good enough – we’d better get Jade in.’
“The only good thing is that more than half of the stars in the new Celebrity Big Brother appear to come from abroad and won’t have a clue who she is.”
Last night Channel 4 refused to confirm or deny the Jade reports.
A spokesman would only say: “There will be a surprise on Friday night. Tune in and find out what it is.”
Jade’s agent failed to return any calls yesterday.
And when we called at her home in Chipping Ongar, Essex, Jade was for once keeping her big mouth well and truly shut.
Boyfriend Jack told us: “She can’t speak as she is very hungover.
“We had a heavy New Year’s Eve.
“We went out last night to a bar with friends.”
Asked about the BB rumours, he said with a grin: “It’s the first I’ve heard about it – unless she is keeping it a secret and is going to surprise me.”
There is also speculation the Goody clan might go into a secret house next door for a few days without the other celebs knowing.
Last night Jason Dashwood, who runs the www.bigbrotheronline.co.uk site, said: “It’s an interesting rumour but if it’s true I am not sure it will be a welcome surprise for the others in the house.
“She has an unfair advantage having already been on the show and if she turns up with her family she will already have allies on her side.”
Big Brother forums have also been flooded with angry reactions from fans who say they don’t want to see the return of Jade.
One said: “God forbid.”
Among the other stars tipped to appear on the show are Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, 31, A-Team actor Dirk Benedict, 61, Jacko’s brother Jermaine Jackson, 52, Corrie legend Julie Goodyear, 64, American Pie’s Tara Reid, 31 and 70s singer Leo Sayer, 58.
