I met Christopher today.

I was in London, at Costa, and I was buying a hot chocolate to take away, and when I paid, I saw him sitting down, with his laptop.

I wasn't going to go up to him, as I had somewhere to go, but I said **** it, when do I ever meet a former BB contestant. I was really apprehensive, to go up to him and talk to him.

I went up to him, and told him that I loved him in Big Brother. We had a good chat for ten minutes, as I was really interested. He's a thoroughly lovely guy, just as nice as he was on the show.

I asked him a few things like who he still keeps in touch with, and he said Matthew and Chris, and often goes to see them.
He said he's still in touch with Helen, via Twitter, at times. Which I was really surprised to hear, actually.

We were talking about the upcoming BB16, and I said I hope it's not as bad as Power Trip, and he chuckled and said he's aware of the hate BB15 gets and understands why.
We were talking about how much the show has changed in ten years, and how much simpler it used to be in the golden era. Really great conversation.

I also asked him about his hate towards Katie Hopkins, as I remember he said his idols were Katie Hopkins and White Dee, when he entered the house. He said he's changed his opinions for the worse, as she's gotten much worse over the year, and mentioned he didn't like her on CBB.

I was glad to hear he was an Alicia Douvall fan.

Yesterday (Monday 20th) Mark kept a dignified and classy silence, not once reacting to her obvious attempts at provocation and instead choosing to issue a very short and simple public statement via his new management.

“In light of a certain column in today's Daily Star we have a short statement on Mark Byron's behalf.

He will always be incredibly grateful for the opportunities Big Brother gave him and the people he met, however for him it was just a summer of fun and at the end of the day just a reality TV show.

Since the show ended, quite some time ago, Mark has got on with his life and is blissfully happy in both his friendships and personal, private relationships.

Mark wishes all the housemates good luck in their future endeavors and has no ill feelings towards any of them, even to this day.”

The almost laughable claims made by Helen, despite them being her own vague interpretation of the truth have left Mark dumfounded and hurt that her words have a shameful connotation.

Her decision to share news of Mark’s relationship with her readers; a relationship Mark and his boyfriend have actively kept incredibly private, is even more hurtful and disheartening, especially as he once considered her a friend.

With logical explanation and no headline chasing spin her statements couldn’t be further from the truth and the truth Helen chose to leave out of her column point the finger of shame her direction.

Since the incredibly controversial and dramatic 2014 installment of Big Brother ended that very same controversy and drama didn’t end for certain housemates and despite only taking great memories and positives from the experience Mark saw a dark-side to life after the show.

Something happened at Steven and Kimberly's wedding and they fell out with Mark and Jale, I think. I know Helen wrote about in her Daily Star column but I can't say what actually happened because god help me if I'm ever going to read it.

Basically Jale said she would only come to the wedding, if Steven and Kimberly paid for her hotel room - I believe the guests were supposed to pay for their rooms.

And she's angry at Mark for saying he would come to the wedding, but did not come, and let his £200 ticket go to waste, which Steven and Kim paid for.

According to Helen, he also owes Steven money for the free nose job he got of him, as well as £180 for Steven paying for his plane ticket back, and still hasn't paid him back.


I must say I'm with Helen, on this one. But, Steven and Kimberly don't seem to care, so I have no idea why Helen does. Surely it's there problem, and they can sort it out themselves.

I'm not surprised to hear this about Mark, TBH. I thought he came across very greedy and money-hungry.

The guy won £5K, on the first night, he's hardly bankrupt. Not to mention it was very telling off what he did in the Power of Money task, saying he would take the money for his **** "brow bar", and not admitting it, letting the others tear into Chris, for practically doing the same thing.

He makes my skin crawl.

Glad to hear he was really nice, he was my BB15 favourite. :)

Surprised he keeps in touch with Helen via Twitter, but he hasn't been involved in the post-BB drama so I guess there's no lasting bad blood between them which is good tbh. It's a shame if he and Ashleigh haven't managed to stay in touch but it happens. :)

Too little too late as far as Helen clocking Mark as far as I'm concerned. She had it all in black and white in front of her of what a lying attention seeking little worm he was during that fake prize money task and yet she chose to have a massive row at Christopher (who promptly absolutely destroyed her :love: )

Mark is hideous. I've got nothing to say about him and Matthew as that's a relationship that's started outside the house and has nothing to do with us as far as I'm concerned, but the way he treated Christopher was horrible. :fist:
