I think most of the shocking ones are driving ones.

I always hated the one with the two guys in the pub who hit the woman and she slams into the bar.

wtf is this advert! I'm sorry but having about 20 children randomly get squashed by a car is to stupid and just makes it silly, it also felt at the end a bit like a comedy movie where a child gets injured badly but they make it look funny, it is a ridiculous weird advert

And lol the car spins way to fast and its a bit random! I showed my 12 year old brother the advert and he just burst out laughing, silly advert.

The second advert is a lot better, far more effective and gets the message acrross, really disturbing and sad.

I don't think how convincing the effects are is at all the point of the advert. :umm2:

Was just about to say that, it's creepy as hell. :worry:

I remember watching a documentary about adverts not so long ago and they mentioned a series of safety adverts they did in the 80s which always involved children doing something unsafe like playing in a quarry or near a railway line etc and some big horrific looking death like creature standing over them until one of them ended up dying. Do you think these adverts actually work?

I suppose it's trying to put the message across strongly, but some are a bit much.

They should do an advert about dead dogs rather than poor children.

I've been looking for this advert for years.

This used to creep me out, back in 2005/2006.
Such a creepy advert.

Watching it back, it's not that bad.

I think because I was younger, the bleeding from the ears and her sliding across the road made it seem uneasy.

That's not even funny.

I was stupid enough to skip like 15 seconds into the advert, and then 3 seconds later... :omgno:

...jeez that's the first time that I've seen that one..I'm never sure with these shock ads, whether they really do send a message effectively because they can just make people not want to watch again and kind of block it and that would seem to miss the point if that happened...

I don't think how convincing the effects are is at all the point of the advert. :umm2:

It's not really the effects it feels like a 10 year old thought of the idea and it just comes across as funny in a way for some reason even though what happened was truly tragic.

I'm not sure what it will take to get people to take their foot off the accelerator. Different on a motorway, but I see shocking examples of people speeding every single day. And people whine if they're caught and claim the fines are just to raise revenue, your satnav will even warn you where speed cameras are. Madness...

I not missing the point, Just dont feel the advert has a purpose, it looks like something out of GTA, the advert with the mum and son is far more effective, the smaller the scale the better the effect on the viewer.

I remember a road safety advert looking like it was shot on a video camera with a teenage guy messing around with friends and then walking out into the road and getting run over.
