I don't think it's been aired on a main channel since the move to Channel 5, although you could watch it if you had Sky. Or watched it... well, not legally.

Nope, Channel 5 isn't licensed to broadcast in Ireland.

No, because I think more of Irish people than to assume that they would vote for a housemate simply because of where they came from...

surely having more applicants is a good thing because it makes the chance of recruits less likely

I do that.
I voted Jason Cowan because I'm a 1/4 Scottish. I threw Nadia a vote because I'm an 8th Portuguese.

I don't even vote at all.

If I did, I would have a pretty huge phone bill, as the majority of the contestants are from London.

Regional voting does happen, and it can definitely swing close votes.

Imo Republic Of Ireland aren't apart of the UK so they shouldn't be able to vote on the show, but I honestly don't care about them broadcasting it though.

This is similar for Australia in which they broadcast to the NZ station TV3.

The original thieves are the British who stole land and dignity from the native people.
Most of what we have from you was forced on us... not stolen.
Canada has spent it's entire adult life breaking free.

(just so you know... I love the British. I am only doing this for argument sake :hehe:)

Are they just airing Bb16 or past series? Because on the poster which I found on Twitter or says 'We will be airing Big Brother for 13 weeks this summer.' Are we getting 13 weeks of BB this summer?

BB16 and CBB16 (I think that's what we're up to, I genuinely can never remember anymore there's that ****ing many series) combined

8 weeks civilian, 5 weeks celebrity knowing C5

If you look it up on Twitter it says 'we will be airing 13 weeks of BB this summer starting next month, followed by two series of CBB, one across August and September and the other in January.

Perhaps it really is starting in May and we're getting a longer series?! If it started at the end of next month and was lasting 13 weeks it would finish up at the end of August I think.

Ireland can vote if they put the live feed on the TV3 website so Channel 5 doesn't have to operate it

We have 72 'episodes' of BB, so pretty much the same as last year (10 weeks) by the sounds of it
