This poster from TV3 announcing they have broadcasting rights features Jarrod's viacom eye but also says 'Big Brother's Little Brother will air all series on 3e'
Does this mean BBBOTS has been scrapped for BBLB:fc:

Let's face it, considering they used Google Images for the eye, I doubt they'd have done their (up-to-date) research into any other areas of the show.

Jarrod's eye pops up as one of the first results in Google images - it's been used by The Sun before.

It's a mistake, of course. C5 won't get rid of its own spin-off brand just to bring other channel's idea.
They just rushed to make the PR.

They need to have a early evening house action show alongside BOTS after evictions only. Big Mouth never really got watched every night either come to mention.

I'm not sure of who originally posted it but I wouldn't put it past them to accidentally use this eye in their PR releases. Not that Twitter's always to be believed in any given scenario.

I don't know much about the british TV audience share, but I doubt moving BOTS to an early time slot would bring better figures. Also, BOTS as a pre-highlights show might spoil the main show events with all the "exclusives", making it a bit irrelevant (C5 can't afford it).

A BBLB-type show just wouldn't work nowadays, when the viewing figures for the main show aren't actually too different to what BBLB could have got back in the 'glory days'. Perhaps they could do a pre-eviction show on Fridays (in place of... what, the Gadget Show?), but I still wouldn't trust that to rate as well as the regular BOTS - I suspect a lot of people who watch BOTS only do so because they can't be bothered to change the channel after the main show. It's highly unlikely that anyone would tune in at any other time of the day for BB - just look at how Rylan's Big Brother All Star Supersized Bit on the Side Celebrity Sunday Extravaganza (I think that was its name) bombed.

Agreed.

Yeah, I remember that rylan show (good name though XD). Did it have a full run or get axed midway?

C5 has a tight budget for BB (and a biannual cbb doesn't help), they tried to give some live feed and do an early spin-off - it didn't do well, and they're not willing to make another risk anymore. At the end of the day it's a business, and they better spend their budget on bb wisely. These days there's no room for the tradition factor.

I've contacted TV3 for confirmation that this is from them. Also, it states that the series is starting next month.. again with the May launch.

I'd love to know where this image has actually come from.
It doesn't appear on the TV3 sales website, where you would expect to see it, considering it talks about Sales Agents or whatever on the poster.

It seems like it was an email poster or something along those lines.

13 weeks across the summer could include the CBB run.

Boycott it anyways because there really shouldn't be two a year

Boycotting will do nothing. Channel 5 paid to show two series a year, they'll show two series a year. You're stuck with that until 2018.

Boycotting summer CBB when it's still getting higher viewing figures than the civilian version is only going to get the civilian series axed/shoved aside if anything.

I've gone past the point of caring about Summer CBB, not after the next couple of years at least, because the viewing figures won't affect the shows future

I did think it meant 13 weeks to include CBB, but it is worded awkwardly.

13 weeks could see it at 9.5 weeks for regular and 3.5 for CBB, which could make sense.

Anyway, the more Big Brother the better as far as I'm concerned!

Rather have 11 weeks of normal BB, Finish around the end of August then Autumn TV starts in September.
