View Full Version : How long is BB16?
There was something said that it would last 72 days... BUT it said 13 weeks on the TV3 poster and also someone (Ricci) who knows Danny tweeted him saying 'see you in 13 weeks!'.
C5 Have never said how long it'll be have they? I'd love a 13-week series like the good old days <3

72 scheduled episodes which suggests 10 weeks

Same as BB15. 10 Weeks.
Not sure if it's 72 days or 74 days, though.

I think they meant 13 weeks with BB and summer CBB added together.
As that comes up to over 3 months.
In the poster it said something like 'TV3 will be airing Big brother for 13 weeks this summer, followed by a series of Celebrity Big brother and another in January.'
Who claimed that the series is 10 weeks?

It is 10 weeks 72 episodes scheduled
But where does it say that?
It's exactly the same length as BB15
I'm not trying to be rude but that's been said 3 times now and I keep asking for the source :)

Its 10 weeks I don't need a source when its been that for past 3 years
Well I am asking for one! BB was 13 weeks for 4 years as well, but it has changed.

I'd like 13 weeks. But wow, 10 weeks is a long, long time. :)
13 weeks is overrated anyway. All's it meant was a random influx of new housemates over halfway through the series - most of which robbed housemates who'd been there since the start of their places. Also wasn't very exciting when there was hardly anyone from launch night still in the final night.

That's not really true is it? BB8 is an exception because of the all-female launch but from BB7, Jennie was the only one really, as Aisleyne only missed 11 days, and in BB9 it was just Sara and in BB10 it was just David.
I would like it if BB16 was 12.5 weeks long, ending on the 7 of August, but I dont think it'll happen. I can't really concentrate on BB while exams are going on and so I think 24th of July is a bit too early for it to end!

Well it is true - because it happened in BB8 and BB7. BB9 and BB10 may have had only one in the final, but we still had the random influx of housemates in that series who weren't really any good and resulted in good housemates getting evicted. The 13 weeks are overrated - plus the three weeks at the end usually dragged anyway so there's no point in extending it.

Not in BB7 - only 2 out of 4 weren't launch HMs. It only happened in BB8. I haven't seen BB9 and BB10 but in my opinion the BB7 and BB8 halfway HMs were generally good value. Who resulted in good HMs getting evicted? I would argue the opposite - particularly for BB8 - 3 of the new HMs were evicted in 2 weeks.
I didn't actually find BB7 or Bb8 to drag too much - BB7 admittedly was helped by ex-HMs returning which added a bit of excitement in Week 12.
Just seen that Big Blagger said it would last 72 days. Are they very reliable?

BB10 is the only 13 week series that sustained itself to the end

BB16 is two capital letters and 2 numbers long, simples.

Big Brother is currently scheduled to run for 72 episodes, which suggests around 72 days. However this can vary and can be shortened and extended at C5's will.
Tbf a series longer than 10 weeks isn't at all beyond the realms of possibility - BB13 was originally scheduled to be 13 weeks long . But then they had the idea of a Summer CBB.
