The first option sounds like the american pronunciation, the same with "mom" and "sem-eye" instead of "sem-ee"

Yog(rhymes with log) urt, I tend to say this one even though I know the proper way is this one, yo(rhymes with Low) gurt.

Some of my family are always correcting me on pronunciations. Nougat I call new-gar, not nug-gert, that one seems to wind one of my sisters up.

I can never tell the difference between the two, Canadians get super offended when you mistake them for Americans though
