Can only think it's because people find them entertaining to watch. Makes me feel sad like people condone such nasty behaviour.

Which housemates are you basing this on?

Helen and Katie H are two I can think of, seems to be a recent thing though

I am talking about past housemates like Helen and Katie Hopkins for example. Hope there are no nasty bullies like that in this house.

Well I liked Helen but hated Katie H, so I don't know.

I feel like the definition of a bully is lost on people. When I was in school we had real bullies. The ones that targeted people, kicked the **** out of them on a weekly basis, that stole from them, and made their lives a living hell during their school years.
Someone in the Big Brother house that bitches behind someones back, or to their face, and makes crude/cruel jokes about them isn't a bully in my eyes.

because they "make the series"
which really just means "they make the highlights" and "for all the wrong reasons"

I wouldnt consider Katie Hopkins a bully, Perez and Alicia gave as good as they got and often initiated arguments. Helen on the other hand I would and Im disgusted she won.

What did Alicia do?
She stuck up for herself, and didn't say anything nasty.
Fair play to her, as I would've kicked Cami in the face if she treated me the way she treated Alicia.

Helen wasn't a bully, because Housemates deliberately isolate themselves from the rest of the house doesn't make the other side bullies.
Hopkins however was a bully.

I disagree...Helen was a bully. She was nasty and spiteful and she had many of the housemates at her beck and call...and it certainly wasn't out of respect.
Hopkins was very opinionated but at least she accepted others opinions even though she didn't agree with them...however I can accept how she can be seen as a bully.

I think it's just like hoping the bad guy wins in a movie, BB is just entertainment.

HellBeast was absolutely a bully in my eyes. And I don't think anybody "isolated themselves".

A lot of time this forum forces you to side with the baddie with there obsession of a certain housemate

Helen is the biggest bully & prick to win the show in its history

I still find it ludicrous that even a single person voted for someone as vile as Helen to not only 'win' BB but to take home over £100 Grand as a reward for being such a reprehensible excuse of a human being!!!
I couldn't believe it at the time but seeing her on BOTS last night with a good chunk of her winnings inflated on her chest, slurring and sneering just makes me despair at every person who fell for BB's ploy and voted for the beast!!!
What a shining example for every young British girl of what you should never, ever turn out like, under any circumstance!!!!!

Isnt it a bit early to be trotting out the 'bully' word Rich  I feel it is used too often in here. I was bullied and by bullied it was that bigger kids picked on me cos I was small and shy. I had no defence mechanism and it caused me to hate every single day I spent in school and refuse to go to college even though I had lots of opportunity.
A real bully in my humble opinion is someone who picks on a lesser defenceless person and constantly puts them down etc. The people who have been called bullies over the past few years for the most part have been called it for their attitude or actions to another housemate. I have not seen any weak and defenceless housemate in any of the last few series. Everyone is perfectly capable of standing up for themselves.
I don't condone awful behaviour to another housemate but I don't call the perpretator bully. I know only too well what A REAL bully is. Peace :wavey:

Some people like to court controversy, they think it makes them some kind of rebel special flowers.

..it is hard to define I know jyunga...but I think it's...'do you feel bullied..' so it's not really any clear thing..I think the thing with BB housemates when they say that they feel bullied is ..is that really how they feel/is this what the producers see when they follow it 24hrs... or is it a gameplay of 'victim'..maybe because they clash and don't get on with a particular other housemate or housemates...

Not quite sure why my post was removed from here from last night considering I wasn't breaking any rules... I'll say again, personally I didn't find Hopkins to be a bully. I know I'm biased having KH as a series fav although I didn't mind her as a housemate, in the real world I have no interest in her, dislike the woman.
Helen was always a vile person. The only time I thought she came close to bullying really was with Jale, other than that she was just generally a bitter miserable woman.

I was bullied in school and agree completely with this, most sensible summary in here. :clap2:

Helen & Katie were cut from the same cloth. Bullying doesnt have to be physical.
I once experienced bullying at work, Undermined in front of my colleagues, given extra work, and threats to my job etc. Fortunately my trade union believed, and a formal complaint resulted in dismissal for my boss who was doing it.
Like most bullies Helen & Katie had some one or some thing else to blame. They were also cowards when confronted by others. Helen was probably better at the fake redemption thing than Katie though. Atruly vile winner.

People didn't isolate themselves at all, Helen called both Jale and Christopher names and laughed and whispered as they passed with her buddies, school yard bullying at it's best
