I don't know why, but I am left disappointed. I know its only a couple of days, but everything is so lack lustre. Bots is crap and Rylan is more annoying than usual, the storylines in the show seem under reported and pretty dull, the HM's all seem to be playing games and non of them really stand out as being anything but mildly irritating or just plain game players.

All the hype of the opening has been watered down to a dull miserable unexciting mess.

You've seen ONE highlights show and that was mostly a repeat of what happened the night before

I've truly heard it all now sometimes it takes a week or so for me to get really into it

I was disappointed with the cast but I'm still content overall... that might be because I refuse to watch Rylan though, I can definitely understand how the show would appear worse for those who watch Rylan.

I have a feeling that this series is going to be a classic, not necessarily because of one outstanding individual, but because there is just so much potential for interesting interactions between the housemates, which for me, is what its all about. I'm quite positive at the moment.

I'm already starting to feel it.:joker:

For instance, it's obvious Danny fancies Sarah, but he's taken it upon himself to maker her his 'enemy', probably because she won't be taken in by his bullsh** chat up patter.

Kieran stands out for me at the moment - hilarious and I think Jade is a slow burner. My 2 top tips for this series :spin:

It's far to early to make a judgement, how quickly did fan favourites Wolfie and Pauline change, as well as Cardboard Conor who is still one of the main talking points of that series, and Ashleigh last year who didn't do anything until about week 5, not to mention Sam who did nothing until the last week :idc:

I think everyone hated Pauline on the 2nd night

Wolfie was about a week

Conor i still dont know how he said so long

Sam sailed through for being boring then picked up the anti Gina/Dwxter votes to win

Ashliegh is one that baffles me she was loved for doing something that never happened

I am so sorry my use of the English language seemed to leave some of you wanting, but I did mention it had only started but the emphasis was on START, not early stages. I was commenting on what had currently ensued but why let semantics get in the way of a good rant eh.

The start is the beginning, after a week it becomes the early stages, my post was about the start. Still its nice to see nothing has changed, people far more willing to dis a post than engage it for what its worth.

The start is always boring though Sam, especially the first H/Ls as it is usually a rehash of what we saw on launch night, I didn't think it was too bad for a first highlights.

But BOTS was awful last night. The jokes were terrible, usually they are quite good. At least Nikki Grahame is on tonight.

My initial reaction to a season of BB is whether or not I like the cast or bunch of housemates. For the most part I was quite happy with the crew this year. There is buckets of potential for cat fights, laddish behaviour, diva ness, vanity, screeching etc. So it was a good start. I cant judge anything further until I have seen the first FULL highlights show tonight as last nights had a lot about the housemates entering the house. I agree with OP about BBOTS (and it isn't often we agree Sammy) Initially it was Big Brothers little Brother with the amazing Dermot. It was a show aimed to be a spinoff or magazine show of the main event. It had plenty of housemate discussion, clips, news etc. It has been going very much downhill lately.

For the past at least four seasons there have been so many pointless clips, mucking around, stupid dr dance, Alice and Lauren even the meal with the ex housemates where they were bickering wasn't all that interesting. Last night was very poorly put together. Emma Willis has never (to the best of my knowledge) had Matt on the show she did get a phone call from him at one stage and seemed very surprised to get it. Rylans Mum? FFS we don't care what she thought of the house etc. Are they so short of material they have to feature this YAWN and don't get me STARTED on the two bloody action figures on the wall. BBOTS is going to lose much of its viewership unless they rethink the situation and for GODS sake only have decent panellists. I know they have to bring back many of the same people but Gemma Collins and Nicola McLean in particular should be put on a slowboat to neverland

And you can put the blame of its decline right at the feet of Rylan who has turned what you so rightly said a show about BB, into Rylan's Own Chat/Saturday Takeway Show.

It's him, him, him all the way through it. I wouldn't mind so much if he had at least 10% talent, but he's a very boring, talentless, ego-inflated big mouth who I expect has driven countless viewers away.

Why did C5 hire him? He wasn't a TV presenter. Just some terrible 'singer' who failed on the X Factor. Oh and he knew another no-mark, katie Price.:sleep:

I'd love to see C5 have some **lls and sack him.

And hire a professional presenter. Someone witty, intelligent and someone who won't think BOTS is his show.

Bring back the Jamie days.

God only knows why Pete burns and Jamie east are not in there running the show, they are current and funny. Luke marsden would do a better job than Rylan, in fact my misses could and shes got senile dementure. It gauls me when Rylan starts the gyrating and mumbling. Get the thick wanker off and lets get back to basics. We need a funny and controversial presenter that makes us laugh....Get Bradley Walsh on there with Eamon heading up the panel.

Speaking of last night's episode, did anyone else have a hard time hearing/understanding what the housemates were saying? In previous BBs the "focal characters" of a conversation always sounded a lot clearer than the people in the background, but in last night's episode they all seemed to be talking over eachother.

And don't worry, OP. The first highlights show is always a slow starter, because it's basically just a recap of the launch night with a bit of extra footage thrown in. Tonight's should be a bit more exciting, what with the task and all.

I'd at least give the show till next Tuesday to starts judging it as a series.

Honestly, It's only been one show. Give it till the first eviction, at least.
I for one, am enjoying it.

The first few days are always slow. This time last year in BB15 we were already on the 3rd twist of the series.

It's only been a day, and I'm going as far as to say it's better than BB15 was in its entire 10 week run.

Same. I can't imagine why they hire people to host who actively drive people away who would otherwise watch.

As for the first episode, the only difference between this one and previous years' is that the twist was simply inflicted on the housemates, rather than yet another dumb earpiece task. As much as I hated watching someone get Benezeir'd, it's an improvement.
